People should have to complete a psephological literacy test before participating on this sub
Note: not a serious proposal by any means
But it's crazy, poll after poll you have people repeating the same denialism and conspiracy theories

What about testing for lack of basic auspol history knowledge?
- is kevin rudd into strippers?
- who ended free uni?

Well.... I think John's preference depends on the type of birthday cake in order to give an accurate answer.

If the cake contains a stripper who's doing it to pay for her uni, you can address all three points at once.

Honestly I think half the problem is that pollsters desperately try to stretch their poll results into somehow being attached to the news story of the week in their titles (looking at you Roy Morgan!), because it’s not headline grabbing enough to say “this is within the margin of error so there isn’t really much to be gleaned from this result in isolation”. It just makes it all seem a bit silly.
