TIL Michael Jackson was performing in Seoul in 1996 when a fan climbed up a crane to reach him. MJ held onto the fan securely to prevent him from falling, all while continuing his performance

There are so many moments over the years of things going wrong or not according to plan. Like this for instance, when he cut his finger and needed a bandaid, when the stage was slippery and he had to get them to wipe, etc. in all these moments, he still maintains his showmanship, stays calm, and ALWAYS makes everything look like it's a part of the show somehowš. MJ, you are the bestā¤ļø

Well he had to continue the performance. That vocal track was gonna keep going!

yeah it kinda forced michael to keep on continuing the performance otherwise it would've broken the illusion of him singing live infront of thousands of fans. because of the fan he couldnt even turn around to signal brad to cut the vocal track or turn on the mic loool.

I think it fed into his God complex he wanted to be worshipped. I think that is what he fed on. Which is why he could not handle his loss of fame and turned to drugs and shopping/hoarding to self-medicate.

This is my fav concert clip. Just watching him struggle with this guy to hold onā¦forcing his hand on the railing. Didnāt miss a beat.

That kid definitely had mental problems; no one in their right mind would do something like that. MJ did what had to be done; he protected him and at the same time didn't leave the rest of the audience without his song. I've always thought MJ was a good person.

Hmmm.
I'm sure there's many people in this sub that would do anything to be held by Michael for 90 seconds.1

he obviously had to protect him. he wouldnt want a lawsuit on his hands for pushing the fan or not holding onto him. he was already in debt at this point

I still canāt get over how unbelievably dangerous that was. Michael should have stopped and gone straight down. To me you can see his priorities were askew.

Once the adrenaline wears off you can see that kids entire mood shift
