Discussion Anyone using Webex Calling embedded in Microsoft Teams?
Looking to hear from people who are actually using Webex Calling within Microsoft Teams.
How has your experience been so far? Has the integration worked as expected, or have you run into any issues?
I'm particularly interested in how well it works day-to-day, user adoption, and whether you've encountered any limitations.
Would you recommend it based on your experience?

It works like just about any other UC provider's embedded Teams calling works; by framing a version of the webphone portal in Teams. It's A SolutionTM to using your existing UC in Teams without doing it the right way with Direct Routing.

I understand the distinction between the two approaches. I'm more interested in the actual user experience. Have you worked with companies using Webex Calling embedded in Teams? If so, have users been satisfied with it, or have you encountered issues?

Between Webex, Zoom, GoTo, and the Netsapiens integrations we've deployed, users have all reported they're clunky within the Teams environment; less so w/ desktop app or webportal.

I use Webex calling with Team because Teams calling is far too limiting. We would ditch Teams for Webex if c-level would let us. You do need to have the Webex app running in order to have the calling work. There is a plug in for teams to connect to Webex calling but it’s a link to the Webex app running in the background

If you’re going to use a client in Teams it’s better to just use Teams natively. Seems people just ride out the contracts that do that and end up migrating it all into Teams eventually.

I’ve helped multiple companies move from embedded Webex calling to native Teams, as they found it was unpopular and poorly utilised.
