I remember listening to this song while playing World of Warcraft then logging off and finding out that Steve Irwin passed away before looking up a video on my new facebook account of Zinedine Zidane’s headbutt in the World Cup Final, peak 2006.

I use to like them, but then one of his songs struck my nerve, and I dont really listen to them much anymore. After finding out how he actually got to the point he is ruins the whole band perspective for me.

“His” used to be “their” and I’m still amazed he was able to bump off all of his bandmates just to make pop music. Pretty. Odd. will remain undefeated.

Still one of the best albums of that era. No skips.

All the girls 2-3 years younger than me were obsessed with this band and I (a mid-Millennial girl) just couldn't get into it. The term "elder emo" didn't exist yet but I think the popularity of this band I think created a divide between elder emos who just couldn't dig it and younger ones (especially girls) who loved it.

I was friends in college with the cellist who played the intro. They paid her $100 bucks

Wow, I still remember the first time I saw this music video while I got ready with a friend.

Hot Hot Heat popped up the other day in my long list of favorited songs. Followed up with Taking Back Sunday and She Wants Revenge.

It was 10 minutes of "oh, fuck yeah!"

I was rather apathetic to them. I knew this song, and a few others, and they were alright - but I was never into them like I enjoyed Green Day, blink 182, etc.
