It'll be such a Thorne in my side.

u/LurchSkywalker Jun 08 '26
Sounds like you have the Maxi for it.

The glasses are a nice flavourful touch. She only wears them to read long letters tho so it's easy to miss.

u/padfoot12111 Jun 08 '26
I image human mina puts them on top of her head like sunglasses to give the shape design of mouse ears when not in use

Well now we HAVE to see the other characters

u/padfoot12111 Jun 08 '26
Does Thorn have a wing suit or a jetpack

Could be Davinci style fabric wings on wood!

u/Level_Hour6480 Jun 08 '26
According to the papers, the game is in 18XX, so 1800s technology is your reference-point.
3
u/Switler Jun 08 '26
Yeah. I figured something not quite as robust as what the Wright brothers would've had given both it being earlier than them, but also due to scale, and then also Mina being an inventor as the DaVinci connection. I think a small little rig of bat like fabric wings would look cool.

u/Level_Hour6480 Jun 08 '26
Very good, but the fact that the ear cut is in no way represented on huMina irks me. Her right side should have some visible disfigurement even if just a minor ear cut.

Awesome job! I was planning a Mina cosplay and this is very helpful. Very close to what I imagined

did you use AI for the mina pic??
6
u/Anti-Pioneer Jun 12 '26
1
u/Capsule_Quest Jun 12 '26
Its a yes or no question, did you use AI to make the pictures?
6
u/Anti-Pioneer Jun 12 '26
Haha that's a no. I've been working in the game art industry for a long time.
2
u/starsintodreams Jun 14 '26
He said "hand drawn".
Not sure what you thought he meant but easy to figure out that the answer was 'no'.

She looks like a WarioWare character, and I'm totally down for that.
But that's a perfect human Mina design, compliments to you! Really captures her essence.

Is there a word for the opposite of “furry”?

u/padfoot12111 Jun 08 '26
I hate the word fleshy but

The moment I saw your humanization of Mina, I immediately thought of a fitting surname for her: Mina Belmont

usually i would consider de-furrifying a good furry character blasphemy but this is honestly excellent

I hope we get cosplays with this design at some point. This art is fantastic, great work!

u/LS-Kun Jun 09 '26
Ooooo, excellent picture there! Kinda wish she had a little notch in her human ear, but it's not a big deal. Still looks fantastic!

Woah. This feels amazing. So spot on, with all the colors. Well done.
If you feel like continuing to draw this character, I would really want to see a human version of her wielding the various weapons that she can use. That'd be amazing.

I needed this is my life. One of the things I love about her art style is that shes not a stereotype of a female character. No big lashes, breast, bow or skimpy outfits. Shes an adventurer who kicks butt. We need more female characters like this.

u/hotstickywaffle Jun 08 '26
Shit, now I'm trying to imagine if there's any possible way to make Mina in DnD
1
u/sailing94 Jun 08 '26
Fighter-Artificer multiclass seems to be the place to start.
The real tricky part would be the burrowing.
2
u/hotstickywaffle Jun 08 '26
Yeah, you'd have to figure out a way to flavor that with the DM. Maybe you can borrow as a bonus action to increase movement speed?

For sure! She canonically has them.
1
u/The_MAZZTer Jun 08 '26
Mina is probably far-sighted (she has difficulty seeing things clearly up close) since she only wears them when reading or writing letters. So she would probably not wear them all the time. But we can chalk this up to artistic license. :)
1
u/The_MAZZTer Jun 08 '26
Wait is she fighting in heels?
1
u/bast963 Jun 09 '26
The castlevania girls you can play as also fight in heels. Seems kinda on brand for gijinka mina to wear heels given how much castlevania vibes the game already has

u/LorenzTheAnnihilator Jun 09 '26
Did you draw this?

Oh wow, that is the best (and only) Human Mina design I have seen!
