In all seriousness that probably is the issue. Between that and the recent(ish) additions of the enchantment glint sliders, the only affected items are armor, weapons/tools, and books. OP check your texture pack and enchantment animation settings.

since no one is actually answering you, if you already tried reloading your resource packs and it didnt work, its probably a graphic/driver error from intel integrated graphics, similar stuff happened a lot to me when i was on my laptop, i guess you could try updating your drivers?

Tbh, you cant really help a post that gives no info.
We dont know what version, what mods/texture pack theyre running.
Its definitely either modded or theyre using a texture pack, since they have the saturation indicator. Which means this is either a problem for a modded subreddit or just updating their texturepack.

Minecraft sure has a lot of weird graphical glitches. I’ve also experienced at least two that I’ve never seen documented elsewhere.

Are all of the items that turned yellow enchanted? If so it's probably an issue with the enchantment overlay texture. If you have any mods or resource packs installed try disabling them, otherwise I have no clue.

They likely are, one’s a book, so I assume it’s the enchantments. OP, check your mods and texture packs.

Actually, upon closer inspection, their SKIN seems to have turned yellow too. (They're not wearing boots)

Reload your resource pack if you go into the settings where it is there should be an option to refresh it

F3 + T should refresh resource packs. Idk if thats the issue but that'd be my first fix

Got any texture packs? Also, it might just be a corruption of tool data. If you notice, only items from the tool menu, (armor, weapons, etc.) are yellowed. As well as a book, which I assume to be enchanted. Ergo, reload the world or clean cache. Then, if that doesn't work, try redownloading the app and see if that fixes it.

Ok... This is making me have a headache... Do you have any Resourcepacks that could be outdated? Or... Perhaps you are using the new graphical features (that have yet to be fully implemented and might not be compatible with your resourcepacks, even though the Resourcepacks are updated, they might not be fully compatible to like, Vulkan? Which explains the yellow? Idk, that's just a theory... But it is based on something, I mean, from what I gathered, only items that could be enchanted (at least, have an enchantment glint) are yellow, so... If you have many Resourcepacks... Or like, Vanilla Tweaks' and you picked the ones that you were interested in... Start with any that are related to the enchantment glint...

Well it's because I HATE those items. I HATE THEM! If it weren't for those items we would have never ended up in this situation. We would've found a better mine and acquired BETTER items and we wouldn't be hunted and tortured daily by these monsters. Why did I still keep those cowardly items dear to me? Those items are so USELESS. I never loved them... Why did they have to be so.... "YELLOW"!
