Cloud Sync Insanity

So I just had the wonderous experience that everyone else is having I guess thanks to steam. Lost my blackveil Val Hazak mini crown from it and got put back to 5 crowns left with a lot of pent up anger.

Im creating this post cause I want to keep finishing this miserable crown hunt but also want clarification on a few things to prevent this from happening again and ruining my whole day.

When the cloud sync error happens I believe I'm supposed to use local files. I did cloud and seem to have learned the hard way that it was the wrong option.
I've saved my backup into another folder to hopefully prevent such losses again.

Is there anything else I can do? I'm really tired of crown hunting and I'll genuinely lose my shit if this happens again. I want to play other games.

Always use local when playing on the same machine. Cloud is for multiple machines.

Also take a break from crown hunting its an rng achievement come back after a bit of other games and hunt some more for the fun of the hunt.

Ok so when you save n' quit the game for some reason the game decides to encounter a cloud save sync error but still the save file seems to be uploaded but you'll have eye sore of a cloud sync error pop up next to the play button, you can either just let it be even when you login back whenever you won't be losing your progress or just hit play and close fast so the local save file gets uploaded to cloud to sync

I learned in the hard way, lost 6 hrs progress and god roll of crown drop and MR rank progress because of it,

My solution is to always use local save file, instead of cloud, and it works alright again after that, but the cloud issues kinda irritating cause it keep happening.

I'm honestly unsure about the future whether Capcom is aware of this issue or not. This makes me realize how important local save file is actually are compared to cloud save.

I lost some Kirin horns yesterday... And I just managed to craft one of the few missing DBs...

Been out all day today and came back hoping the cloud sync is fixed but it isn't :(

Ah so I’m not the only one having problems with the cloud on World.

I just had to disable it, because even enabling it again after another session still offered either the local save PRIOR to the last session or the very same one on the cloud.

You guys don’t safe your SAVEDATA1000 when facing this problem? This ist the local safe file. This will be then uploaded to the cloud. If you then push or decide to override and use the old cloud safe… YES your process ist lost. Copy the file in the remote folder and wait 10min then steam let you decode which safe file you want to keep. The cloud sync problem had bothered me since 3 days across 7 play sessions. Every time this worked.

Best advice is move on to other games. It's clearly not fun for you so it's not worth the trouble. I suspect whoever told you it was easy either forgot how annoying it is, or they were genuinely just lucky.
