I recently walked into a skims store and me and my group of friends immediately commented on the smooth cozy scent of the store. I noted that it made the place smell like a luxury hotel, any suggestions?

Not sure about this one yet. I love the fact that it has strong fig leaf and wood in it, but was hoping there would be more sweetness from the fig to balance that out.

Does anyone else feel the same? Does it change after maceration? Any layer recommendations?

I fell in love with Narcotic Delight but not the price. I normally go to Dillard’s and grab a sample but the price of the bottle is so crazy. Is there a Montagne that’s close in scent profile?

I’m 45 and just getting into fragrances for the first time in my life as of a few months ago. I’ve only ever known of designer houses, so niche and dupes were completely new to me. Don’t really have a huge budget, so I knew I wanted to find a really reputable brand regarding consumer feedback. One that makes top-quality dupes of elite fragrances that are just way out of my budget.

Montagne kept appearing time and time again in subreddits with rave reviews. That combined with everything I saw about their collection in the Parfumo app, I was sold.

A buddy of mine said Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait was his wife’s favorite scent on him, so I target that one first. I wanted to at least smell the real thing before getting Montagne’s so I ordered a 1.5ml sample of the OG. For me personally, the hype was real on this one. The OG is incredible.

My Montagne shipment of Le Bonbon Intense arrived a couple days ago. Opened it up and I had my daughter spray each one on two different strips so I could blind sniff. For the life of me, I cannot find even the slightest difference between them. I guessed Montagne’s was the OG and she started laughing at me.

I don’t know how Montagne weaves the magic they do in these dupe scents, but to say I’m impressed is an absurd understatement. They will be getting all of my fragrance $ for the foreseeable future!

Quick note on shipping: Yes, there is a shipping delay, BUT MY GOODNESS it is worth the wait. For any new buyers, from what I understand they handcraft your fragrance upon your order submitting. They don’t just have rackloads of fragrances waiting to ship out. Apparently this is another reason that these fragrances only get better with time (maceration). I can’t imagine what they smell like with time because three days in and I’m astonished at the quality.

I'll give a brief review of some I've tried so far

Pineapple Royal: 8/10. Limited experience with Aventus. I have a sample of Aventus Cologne and to me it smells extremely similar to Royal. Royal is a bit stronger; which is to be expected against AC, but DNA wise to me 95% the way there, Some nose blindness as I thought It was gone after 3-4 hours and others smelled it 4-5 feet away 10+ hours later.

Le Bon Bon: 9 out of 10. Near exact smell to the OG which I have a sample of. the OG does seem to have more of a scent cloud or silage to me, and I suffer pretty extreme nose blindness with this one. I'm curious about how intense, since that's the only weakness I see with this one, longevity (partially due to anosmia).

Eau Gaic: 9/5 out of 10. No experience with OG, but to me its fantastic woodsy cold weather smell that is very strong and lasts 6 hours. I dont get any BBQ, I get woods, campfire, spice. It's different than anything else because of the smoky woods profile. but its one of my favorites

The 212: 9.5 out of 10. IMHO this is perfect for layering with many other scents. It's clean clothes, nice hotel, clean laundry. It's also perfect just to spray in your room any time to make it smell clean.

Oud Bois: 9.5 out of 10. Against the OG this is very close to a 1:1 IMO. longevity is there at 4-5 hours, it may be a little less weak but you always have to learn your fragrances's number of sprays and I usually do 3-4 where the OG may get 2-3. Really fantastic another favorite.

Metorite: 7 out of 10. blind buy, I think I just dont love the DNA, it's a good quality smelling scent. its just not for me, it leans a little feminine to me.

Vanilla Fraiche: 9.5 out of 10. Again, for this one I can barely tell any difference at all between the OG Layton and this one even when smelling side by side. Yes there is a difference, but its like neither is better than the other.

Ambre Musc: 10/10. Unfortunately no experience with YSL's Tuxedo, BUT this is probably my favorite overall. It's not an every occasion because it is very rich, with longevity in 3-5 hour range.

Afternoon Dive: 9/10. It's only a 9 due to longevity being 2-3 hours max, which from what I hear OG/most fruity styles like this dont last forever. in the Summer this + the 212, or in the winter this + something like TF Ombre leather is killer!

I've also got a few bottles on the way would love you're guys feedback on what to expect

Gentle Fluidity, Eau Montagne, Alcantara Supreme, Gustavo, London, and Bobcat.

And yes, I have a Montagne problem! overall I would say they're 90+% what the OG delivers at often much much less, Only gripe is potentially longevity, all of my bottles are 0-2 months old at this point and I, like many, noticed the difference, at different rates starting after the first week as they continue to get better. Montagne Decants order has also been placed so I'll have some feedback on more in a few weeks.

In your experience, how long do you find your bottles need to mature before they really come into their own? My bottle of Imaginary took about a month to stop being overly screechy, and is now indistinguishable from the OG 6-7 months on. I recently picked up bottles of Ombre Noir, Japanese Plum, and Pineapple Frais, and am trying to gauge how long it’ll take for these to mature, as well. Would love to hear from anyone who has experience with these three, or maturing Monty bottles in general.

I have bottles that are not getting any use. All full minus a few sprays. You can see fills in pictures.

Prefer to trade. I can always use a backup bottle of Wajan. Also interested in Vetiver Rush (Wild Vetiver), Cognac D’ange (Angel Share), Azonto, Tigris.
