Morality Ranking Morality of exterminating dangerous breeds of an otherwise tamed species?

Post image

Dangerous to people, and not just having a better build/jaw strength etc. And also this particular breed(s) are the only dog breeds to have a lobby protecting them in the west btw

The guy who literally created Pitbulls and popularized them, couldn't stop them from attacking and mauling the face of his niece. The breed has such a high chance of attacking others, that either the dogs themselves are fucked in the head or they only attract the worst owners ever.

Edited for clarity.

Correction: John P. Colby is the founder of the American Pitbull. His Pitbulls mauled a young girl and boy in the neighborhood and then later killed his nephew.

Hmm. I wonder what he was training them to do and using them for?

All that information but you left out he was abusing them and using them for dogfighting?!?!?!

Almost like abuse creates violent animals (pit bull, human, or otherwise)

He had his dog attack his niece? But it's the dogs fault got it

Phrasing issue on my part. He didn't deliberately get his dogs to attack his nephew. They just randomly attacked him completely unprovoked. And this is the guy who created the breed. Even he couldn't train them to not attack children.

This logic is so poor, he was a dog breeder not a trainer, he knew to keep breeding this dog with that dog, that doesn't mean he understands them at all to train them properly, people just look for any reason to stereotype something they dont understand because they're too lazy to actually learn about it. And of course hed say it was unprovoked, how many dog owners dog attacked someone and the only did everything but take accountability? But when it's pits it's obviously the breed, literally any other dog attack they were provoked and misunderstood

This is just another fun fact about the violent history of this breed. Attacking children unprovoked is something Pitbulls have been doing since their creation.

And statistics prove that the breed is far more likely to attack others than any other dog breed.

Being abused and forced to fight other animals constantly is something pitbulls have been doing since their creation***

Attacking children came after the animal abuse. I fixed that for you

What statistics are we speaking of?
