Hi all, a fairly large change has been made to how https://mordheimer.net/ decides which content is relevant to the campaign you are playing.
Previously, many sections of the website had their own separate filters. These filters worked independently of one another, so changing a filter on one page had no effect elsewhere on the site, and would be lost when navigating away.
The old page-by-page filters have now been supplemented by a global filter in the navigation bar (or main menu on mobile: hamburger menu in top left, "Back to main menu"). You can select one or more Campaign Settings, and select the Publication Grade you want to include in addition to the Campaigns. Publication Grades are cumulative. Selecting "Through 1B", for example, includes Core, 1A and 1B material.
Campaign Settings are treated slightly differently from normal Publication Grades. If you select a setting from 1B for example, but keep the grade at 1A, it is included even though it appeared at a lower publication grade than your current setting.
This means you can use something like: "Mordheim + Lustria · Core", and get the Core Mordheim rules together with the complete Lustria campaign package, without also enabling unrelated Grade 1B material.
The global filter includes Warbands, Equipment, Hired Swords, Dramatis Personae, Optional Rules, Magic access and Scenarios. Local filters such as Warband, Source, Tags or Player Mode are still available where useful, but they now work within the content allowed by your global selection. Pages and categories that contain no relevant material are hidden from the sidebar rather than leading to empty pages.
The aim is that you spend less time deciding which rules apply and more time actually using them.
So if you think we nuked a bunch of files from Mordheimer, adjust your filter!

Base size does not matter in Mordheim.
Base shape does not matter in Mordheim.
The bigger your base, the more enemies can get in base contact with you in melee.
Square bases can be surrounded by 8 models of the same size.
Round bases can be surrounded by 6 models of the same size.
Therefore, larger round bases are perfectly fine.
If you have problems with mouth breathers, remind them the actual base size would have been smaller and you can fit them through the gap or down the alley way.
I just finished building & painting a 2 story destroyed tavern intended for Mordheim & Black Death City! It's made from foamboard, coffee stir sticks, cardstock, square balsa wood dowels, and Lego window frames :D
In hindsight, I'm not really sure if it reads like a tavern, probably going to 3D print a little sign for it or something in the future :)
My friend has a nice camera and took some cool pictures (including the first one in this set) of my Mordheim stuff, and I thought I would share! <3
Hey guys, I just wanted to let you all know that Hobby Lobby currently has these little Christmas houses for sale.
Normal price is $5 each, but I got them 50% off because Hobby Lobby has frequent sales on holiday stuff. I bought twelve of them for $30 bucks (gotta get more terrain for the table!).
These are made from thin plywood, with a light glue holding them together (meaning you can pry them apart as I did for the interior shot).
Stylewise, they're a good fit for Mordheim and they'll look perfect once they're painted up and converted.
And the scale is a perfect size for Mordheim sized models to explore (there's enough room inside to add a 2nd floor).
These will be super-easy to cut up and modify and are sturdy enough to hold up well on the tabletop.
They're a fantastic bargain (even at full price!), but are an absolute steal for $2.50 apiece. Stock up while you can!
I had a bunch of these piglet models that are from a series called 'Boarcs'. I used the bigger ones for a Beastman warband, and decided I should use goblin rules for these guys.
For my modular Reikland mercenary warband, i've made two versions of each youngblood. A basic version with a bow and somewhat clumbsy pose, and an upgraded version for when they grow into their own. One musician, Ricard, to keep up morale. One houndmaster, Dunlowe, to lead the warbands hunters. Both are spoiled sons of rich farmers, dumped on the warbands captain to fashion them into men.
Just four champions and one captain to complete the project.
I've played several games against 1b warbands: Tomb Kings and Lizardmen.
Out of 4 games, all 4 were losses, but the last one, a 1v1, was particularly crushing (my entire warband was wiped out, while I only managed to take out 3 Tomb King scorpions).
So I've made a few minor additions and adjustments:
Archivist: Cost reduced by 5.
Flame Bearer: Cost reduced by 10.
Stiltwalker: Cost reduced by 5.
Fire Adept: Range increased by 2".
Melted: Added Fireblood.
It's worth mentioning that, even before I created this warband, my group had already decided on a house rule: being on fire doesn't prevent a model from acting until its first Recovery roll.
Since this is the very first warband I've created, and balancing it is quite difficult, I'd really appreciate any feedback or suggestions you might have. Thank you very much!
I recently purchased a warband I thought looked really cool to join my friends in playing Mordheim, but when I received it, they were 15mm... I didn't notice when I bought it and now I'm stuck with it. No returns are possible and I can't afford another one for a while. Is it possible to play 15mm miniatures in a normal game? Are their any rules or resources available I could use to play downsized miniatures?
We all know that the lands in the south are famous for wine and food, the halflings love their food gardens and ready to defend it against thieves, especially if they need it for the expedition in the City! Here a picture of them defending the garden from some orcs that were eyeing it from the other part of the Averlion reaver.. and they brought in a friend to be safe!
The garden is from the amazing guys at Tabletop World!
I wasn't sure to make this post today, but since I know ogres are loved by community, I wanted to give a final chance to get it in my project! Does it means I will not post more pics? Hell no!
Hey I'm completely new to Mordheim (coming from AoS), and have signed up for a 1-day event here in Auckland NZ (4 games on the day). I'd like to use my Beastmen, but really have no clue what I'm doing.
Anyone willing to share advice on a good starting warband, tactics, and which upgrades to get over the course of the day?
The missions we're playing are:
Breakthrough
Wyrdstone Hunt
Treasure Hunt
A custom mission where each player on the day contributes 1 hero and 1-2 henchmen to make an all-star chaos or order warband. So it's a big team battle.
Joining my possessed, reiklanders, chaos marauders, and skaven
Pretty happy with my zoggrok anvilsmasha conversion , I clipped off the apron and chainmail bits a while ago then just sorta left him half converted into a mek, I've gone at him again and added some new bits to make him fit to lead a warband
Last night I put in some work a dire wolf for a warband I'm working on. I already tested the scheme I wanted on other mini, but the wolf is looking way better than I thought
For the last hours of the project, I have decided to paint some archers explorers! I had a fitting background so I have decided to go out of the comfort zone and use it instead of the usual one!
Of course the Leogryph per is the perfect hound to accompany them!
I'm joining a campaign with a beastmen warband, using the Broheim ruleset. https://broheim.net/
For those that have played beastmen before, or played with broheim rules, would it be wise to throw some heavy armor on a minotaur, assuming he'll be equipped with a 2-handed weapon?
I know they are beefy and already start with 3 wounds at toughness 4, but I wasn't sure if it was worth it to protect my investment in him, or if those 50pts were wiser-spent on more gors and/or hounds on the field.
Sharing WIP of my kitbashed, custom-built Marienburg Mercenary Pirates warband. Once proud privateers, now corrupted by wyrdstone and consumed by greed, they scour the ruins for treasure while the horrors of the deep slowly claim them. While building them I tried to create an atmosphere of decadent wealth, nautical decay, and a touch of cosmic horror. Eager to finish them and get them on the tabletop.
