Mordheim Tavern 🍻

I just finished building & painting a 2 story destroyed tavern intended for Mordheim & Black Death City! It's made from foamboard, coffee stir sticks, cardstock, square balsa wood dowels, and Lego window frames :D

In hindsight, I'm not really sure if it reads like a tavern, probably going to 3D print a little sign for it or something in the future :)

My friend has a nice camera and took some cool pictures (including the first one in this set) of my Mordheim stuff, and I thought I would share! <3

I used to play back in the day when it was released with the original boxed set and this matches that style. The pc game is fun and addictive too.

Hell yeah! I didn’t get into until about a year ago, and I still haven’t played the PC game, but my roommate does funnily enough haha I gotta get it on Steam

You're in for a treat with the game. It's totally addictive going out collecting wyrdstone as your warband become ever so strong and personlized. Be warned though even your best warriors lose limbs or even become half brain dead. It's a fun but unforgiving warband management system.

Yessss! That’s why I love Mordheim. The randomness and silliness is just perfect for what I like in tabletop games. It scratches that perfect itch, and the aesthetic is perfect. Now I really want to play the PC version haha I’m gonna get it tonight!

Nice! the same team made a Necrounda game too but it was never was a good in my opinion. The Mordheim game was just the superior game.

I have a bunch of terrain supplies but I have barely built anything. This is awesome Do you recommend a piece of terrain to build in order to get started?

First, thank you so much! ❤️🙏 and, yeah I definitely do. I would start with something small, like a corner of a destroyed building, with like maybe 1 floor above ground level. You can bang 1-4 of them out pretty quickly, see how the materials feel and go together. And, if you like how they turn out, you’ll probably get ideas of how to go bigger. Devs & Dice on YouTube has an amazing array of Mordheim terrain videos, and he even provides templates for many of them. I would find the corner ruins one and start there. Hope that helps, and happy crafting!!

Thank you! I love devs&dice hes why I bought all of the terrain supplies but I just sit there and stare at it trying to think of what to make 😅 I appreciate the suggestions and I definitely will do that! 🙏🏻

Haha yeah I feel you, sometimes it feels overwhelming just to get started. Once you do, it usually goes smoothly (ish) from there. Wishing you the best! 🙏❤️

Great looking building!! Maybe if you want it to read more like tavern, I would add a couple of tables inside and one of those hanging sign outside. But looks great already anyway

It looks absolutely stunning! Gameplay-wise I think it can be a very strong bastion for the player that can easily access the inside and shoot out of the windows. For the next building I would suggest having entrances on all sides. But again, absolutely gorgeous building!

Yeah, in hindsight, I would’ve busted more of the walls down, it’s a bit of a tight space in there. Next time! Haha thank you for the kind words!! ❤️🙏

This is really beautiful work. I'd happily stab a Reiklander for insultuing the Empress and then drink his ale, in there.

hahaha, well said!! I'll have to make sure to raise a glass for you next time I play and have a unit in there! 🍻

Ty so much for the kind words!! Yeah, I mix up pva glue, fine sand, baking soda, craft paint (just to help see where I put it mostly) and a little bit of water. I kinda eyeball all the proportions until it’s a sludge-like or gel-like consistency and then apply it to the walls in between the coffee stir sticks. I hope that helps! 🙏❤️
