Quote "Don't demand that things happen as you wish, but wish that they happen as they do happen." - Epictetus

From the Enchiridion, section 8. A short line that is hard to live by. He doesn't ask you to stop planning or stop working toward something. His focus is the gap between the outcome you demanded and the outcome you got, since most of the frustration sits there. You can still aim at what you want, and the part that changes is how you respond once the result comes in differently than you asked for. When did you last catch yourself demanding an outcome, and what did it cost you?

Your Genes Don't Decide How Bad Depression Gets. Movement Might.

A study of over 23,000 people using genetic data and real Fitbit tracking found that physical activity doesn’t prevent depression in people with a genetic vulnerability, but it does appear to meaningfully soften how severe symptoms get once depression develops. It’s not proof that exercise alone causes the improvement, but it suggests movement is a real, measurable buffer worth having in a treatment plan.

Confronting our fears

When we remain in our comfort zone, fearing to challenge our self-centered beliefs, despite our success or accomplishments in the world, we will live a life of mediocrity.

It is only when we and challenge the status quo, we may begin to discover our life’s true potential.

A motivational poem I wrote

The sun comes up to start anew,
A simple chance to turn the page.
What really matters and this is true
Is how you step onto the stage.

You don’t have to go too fast,
Just walk ahead despite your fear.
Leave behind the heavy past,
And take a single step right here.

It’s small things done with care each day
That makes you stronger as you grow.
Keep going on your way,
And trust the quiet path you know.

So lift your head and greet the light,
Forget the times when you fell behind.
Just try your best with all your might,
With an open heart and a steady mind.

Accountability buddy for entrepreneurs : 7 days, 7 people, free test

I'm one of the accountability mods with r/motivationalthoughts and we're testing a new accountability system we've been developing, this round is specifically for entrepreneurs and people starting or running a small business.

I'm looking for **7 people** who want to make real progress on their business over the next 7 days.

I'm not selling anything. I simply want to test my system and see how well it works when it's built around the individual.

Maybe you've been wanting to:

* Finally launch the thing instead of perfecting it
* Get your first (or next) paying customers
* Do the scary outreach calls, DMs, pitches
* Finish the website, branding, or offer
* Build a consistent work routine around the business
* Stop procrastinating on the money and admin stuff
* Follow through on the plan you wrote months ago
* Or whatever your bottleneck is

You choose the goal.

I'll help you turn it into small, realistic daily actions and keep you accountable throughout the week using the system I'm testing.

The purpose of this experiment is to see whether a simple, personalized accountability structure can actually help founders follow through.

It's completely free.

A little about me: I'm a volunteer and community listener. I'm on my own journey, but I've also helped a lot of people through theirs. I've spent years in a draining job, struggled with procrastination, had no direction and managed to turn it around and build better habits. So I know what it's like to know you need to change but struggle to actually do it.

All I ask in return is that you take the 7 days seriously and give me honest feedback afterward.

If you're interested, comment or DM me and tell me:

What are you working on in your business right now, and what's stopping you from doing it consistently?

Scientists Reprogram Immune Cells Inside the Body to Fight Cancer, No Lab Required

UCSF researchers used a CRISPR-based system to reprogram T cells directly inside the body to fight cancer, cleared leukemia in mice within two weeks, and skipped the costly lab process CAR-T therapy normally requires. It’s mouse research so far, but if it works in people, it could make this life-saving treatment available far beyond a handful of major cancer centers.

Do You Follow Your Heart or Your Mind?

When we primarily lead our life following our heart, the beauty of the world reveals itself in numerous ways. Love, present within every life, is selflessly shared to make life easier, and more meaningful for ourselves and others.

When we mostly follow the guidance of our mind though, fear, learned when we were young, dominates our life choices instead.

We each choose which path through life to primarily follow. Choose to follow the more challenging path, the path of the heart, rather than the mind, opening your world to discovering true happiness, authentic love, and genuine meaning in your life.
