FOR SALE Wave 1: $392 for my 2027 3-day pass

Got stuck on "Loading…Your request is being processed. Please don’t close this tab." indefinitely, and by time I refreshed the page, early access was sold out.

Back in my day it was FREE.99

My first DEMF was 2004. We got into a car accident on Jefferson leaving to go home. Totally wrecked the back of this dude's Cadillac, but my sister's van was hardly damaged. He said he didn't have insurance and begged us not to call the cops. We were teenagers, so we said we can just leave ¯_(ツ)_/¯ and dude was so happy.

Cheers to many years and many memories. Pricing hurts now, but it's really neat to see how this festival has evolved over the years.

Wallet hurts thinking about it

Totally worth it for the level of acts, sound, and infrastructure. I’ll gladly pay that price

Same here (still spinning). Thought I'd snagged a pre-sale tik. Opened a new tab and they're gone.

sigh

I remember the free Detroit Electronic Music Festival… remember shows at blown-out buildings running on a patched-in hook-ups and some dude taking $5 at the door flanked by the two biggest motherfuckers you never wasn’t to mess with. Excited it’s still going, but I miss all you kids when we were kids.

Paid $500 for VIP 😵‍💫 At least there wasn’t a huge surcharge for the payment plan

Always buy resale

See I thought about this, but I just feel so much better being one of the first for a prebuy and not having to worry about that shyt later. Do you always buy resale ?

I bought resale past two years and never pay full price

Did you do GA 3 day last year ? Can you tell me what you paid ?

To be honest, surprised it has gone on this long especially for how rocky the first 5 or 6 years were. I was a volunteer in 2006 & 2007 when Paxahau took over.

I’ve been attending annually since DEMF days.

With the price increase and the less than stellar lineup lately, I’m considering skipping the weekend pass and waiting for the lineup to be announced before buying maybe one day.

It’s sad.

I couldn’t afford to even start the payment plan when the loyalty sale happened last year, and then I never ended up getting a ticket because it’s so expensive… so I missed my first Movement since the only other one I missed in ‘06 or ‘07. I regret it but the weather was shitty anyway and I wasn’t super stoked on the lineup. I’m on the payment plan again this time.

It wouldn’t have hurt to try and call Seetickets (if that’s still the vendor) to explain that their site glitched and see if they could’ve got you in the early access tier. Probably too late now but I might still try if I was you.

Sadly movement has become just another over priced American festival

It’s still a decent price for what you get. The VIP is cheaper than the average GA at most festivals
