Help me find Movies/TV shows Something similar to Walter Mitty

Hello all,

I’m looking for a film recommendation for Saturday night. I want something almost euphoric, where a character goes on a journey (physically, and/or spiritually).

As per the title, something similar to Walter Mitty would be great, with great scenery and cinematography. A familiar cast or lead would be a bonus. Something that makes you feel, you know. Nothing animated, and nothing pre-2000 would be preferable.

You are looking for Amelie, my friend. A wonderful French film that meets all your criteria. Also, it's an old movie, but Ernest Borgnine in Marty is a real winner. The Chinese film The Road Home will also make you feel, as will Aftershock with Li Chen.

i know you said no pre-2000 but The Amazing Quest of Ernest Bliss (1936) is truly the most wonderful film i have ever seen

I highly recommend “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” Equal parts feel good and bittersweet.
