Anthony Foley was an inspiration to pupils at his old school
Hi all, I wrote this to mark the big man's 10th anniversary and I hope you enjoy.

Just home after a great weekend in cork, having flicked through the program I think this is a more complete list of height and weight for the squad not available elsewhere.
For instance Edwin is down as 130kgs on the website but 120.91kgs in the program. Thought I’d stick it on here for anyone interested.

Over the past year or so, at different stages (usually during a turbulent point), heat seemed to come in Ian Costello.
I’m not sure as to why as from what I can see he’s doing a good job. Look at last night and the games so far this season, a lot of home grown talent getting more and more established in the senior sqaud and pushing to be front line starters.
We know we don’t have massive depth but it is great to see the young lads developing, getting better and there being a genuine talent pipeline of players through the academy (this seemed to be lost at one point in the last 10 years).
I believed that was a large part of the GM role, to enhance talent development, integrate academy and senior squads better and make the whole talent system more aligned. While also keeping pace on new and emerging trends across the pro game. I might be missing something out I think he has done well and would be surprised if the new CEO gave him the chop. Wonder what fans thoughts are on Ian or the GM role in general

Despite all the naysayers and critics trying to stir up negativity in the build up and attempting to widen the Cork and Limerick divide in Munster rugby, let’s appreciate this for what it is, a massive European match! The big screens are up at both ends of the stadium this time, righting some of the wrongs from the early days at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
Racing's captain's run is all over Instagram, with players audibly in awe of the magnificent stadium. This morning had that brilliant vibe similar to a classic away trip in France, bumping into Racing players out for their morning coffee, good vibes, shared jokes, and soaking in the build up.
Today’s atmosphere should easily surpass past matches at PUC, despite the smaller crowd. While those earlier games brought in curious newcomers vital for a club facing revenue struggles, redundancies, and families facing financial anxiety, today will in fact be powered by a crowd of dedicated rugby people.
Walking along the Marina promenade, there is a beautiful tribute to Axel in the Red Shed. The sun is shining, and I'm anticipating a golden atmosphere over PUC as we pay tribute to the great Anthony Foley.

Champions Cup Kick-off: 17/10/2026, 20:00:00 Venue: Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Cork Home/Away: Home
Discuss the match here. Keep it civil.

I personally think it’s bullshit they had to come out with a statement about why they are playing the match in Cork.
Just creating more of a divide between Cork and Limerick.

Block 302. Up high, covered, near the big screen and the side nearest the city for a quick escape.

With the 10 year anniversary of Axel’s passing I wanted to rewatch the incredible documentary RTE used to have on the player. Doesn’t seem to be available anywhere now?

Was reading those articles about lads coming back into full training and was having a look at some of the photos
Anyone know who this fella is? And is he a good player?
The photo caption was that he was Dan Kelly, but I’m fairly certain it isn’t
Photo is in the comments

No fresh injuries after the Ulster game which feels like an added bonus.

Any idea when tickets will go on general sale?

Any word on how the PuC game is selling?
Unlikely to sell out at this stage and ticketmaster showing a lot of blue.
However, when you zoom in there are a lot of sections with only a handful of individual seats left.

Got this 2006 jersey online but unsure as to if it’s legitimate. I have seen some jerseys online with the small Canterbury tag and printed sizing details as opposed to the large stitched one you’d more often see, which were manufactured closer to the end of the jersey’s run. Also wondering if they moved away from cotton with the later, small tag model

Munster fan living in the heart of Leinster Rugby (South Dublin) for my sins
Im going to the game but haven't decided where to buy the ticket
Anyone know what parts of the Aviva would be Munster fan heavy or is it just likely to be scattered

A measured take on Saturdays game keeps things in perspective.

While the Glasgow and Ulster matches have been frustrating and were both so close to wins, I feel a huge positive for me has been Dan Kelly.
At 12, he’s got the size and pace to carry himself, but the range of passing to create opportunities for those around him.
He created the line break for Wood against the Bulls which led to the match winning try and cut that beautiful line to score against Ulster.
Is it too far to say on current form he’s our best centre and maybe even our best back in the team?
