Appropriate response:

Because I'd have launched myself into space, just to get away from (people like) you

29

u/moonchylde 3d ago

Ah, but does he support vote‐by‐rocket? Because I think he might struggle to show up at the polling place on‐time.

13

u/StoneGoldX 2d ago

Depends on what President Trump's Head In a Jar thinks of it at the time.

u/scrangos 2d ago

illegal vote by rocket

Honestly, prison and tax payer funds confiscated and repatriated

I’ll vote for this fucking guy

313

u/Unable-Log-4870 3d ago

Don’t. He’s running unaffiliated. That means he’s there likely to draw votes away from the Democrat candidate, making it more likely for the republican to win.

188

u/RedBushDiver 3d ago

Sonsabitches. It’s all just a big fucking joke.

87

u/Unable-Log-4870 3d ago

Well, our voting system is made to be exploited, so that people have a harder time expressing their intent effectively.

36

u/ArgusTheCat 2d ago

This is why the best vote is to vote for anyone who seriously supports ranked choice voting.

26

u/Unable-Log-4870 2d ago

In the primaries, yes. In the general election, you should just vote for whoever has the best chance to defeat the Republican. That means NOT voting 3rd party in the general election.

Getting a voting system that allows voters to express their desires without having to resort to strategy (something that Ranked Choice Voting can do, but doesn’t necessarily always do) is a really good goal to have.

37

u/defaulticus 2d ago

Eh, its a solid republican district in Florida anyway. In a strong enough wave (which we might be having) it might be in play for a democrat, but he couldn't have known that when he filed to run.

Running independents seems to be working in Nebraska, possibly Idaho and South Dakota, and the democratic party is trying to get its own candidate to drop out in Montana because the independent can probably win there this year but she can't. So, running an indie in this election was probably a solid idea in the spring.

18

u/Marijuana_Miler 2d ago

Seems like Davis' only policy is investigating Elon Musk's crimes. Has the Democratic candidate considered stealing the idea and run on Mark Davis' platform?

5

u/gingerfawx 2d ago

Also appears to have two brain cells to rub together (see post), which is more than most of the candidates have on display. We could do with more of that.

0

u/samenumberwhodis 2d ago

No no, that would require doing what your constituents want and not what your donors want

12

u/Choyo 3d ago

Never heard of the guy, but first thing I thought reading this was "Is it another Fetterman trying to forage votes ?"

8

u/Fun-Grab-9337 2d ago

One day yall will realize uttering a statement like this means our democracy is already long dead.

6

u/Unable-Log-4870 2d ago

This has been a flaw in our system front the beginning. If that means our democracy is dead, I think that implies it was never alive.

4

u/Fun-Grab-9337 2d ago

Yea, some might argue we never really did have a real one.

6

u/Unable-Log-4870 2d ago

I think we were making pretty good progress up until the 1960s, when a lot of people decided that democracy was okay, but not if black people got it too.

68

u/garyisonion 3d ago

I'd vote for him too!

21

u/FalafelSnorlax 3d ago

I'll fuck this voting for guy

Do you wake up every day this stupid, or do you do a lot of drugs?

14

u/backstageninja 3d ago

Difference is one of them is much much more likely to have committed actual crimes

8

u/LiamJamIsMyNeesons 3d ago

One committed crimes. Hope this helps

-21

u/BigsChungi 3d ago

Technically Hillary did break protocol and it could be considered a crime. Whether it actually rose to a criminal level is debatable.

However I think Trump and the Clinton's are both immoral people.

16

u/captorofsin79 3d ago

Hillary didn't rape kids with Jeffrey

-16

u/BigsChungi 3d ago

Rape isnt the only immoral act out there.

Hillary was a warhawk that took bribes. She is part of the evil side of the invisible hand.

Trump is evil too, but you have to be able to recognize both.

9

u/Muad-_-Dib 3d ago

One car has a squeaky brake.

The other car has hit a tree at 100mph, the driver flew a good 30 feet before landing, the engine is now located in the back seat footwell and the whole thing is on fire.

You - "But that squeak tho".

1

u/BigsChungi 2d ago

I like how you act like this is intelligent. The democrats are equally to blame for the downfall of America as the Republicans. They are complicit with billionaires controlling the country. They are complicit with the support for Israel. They are complicit with the wealth inequality and the destruction of the Middle class.

Even if you say well the Republicans are worse. Well guess what Hillary is basically a republican. She has extremely rightwing views. She was swift to call for war. She is not a good person

Quit comparing them to trump. I dont care if a turd has frosting on it, its still a turd and your refusal to recognize that is why America is living in this polarized hellscape

14

u/ealysillyforestthing 3d ago

Fyi: at the time of that email thing there was 33 other members of Congress that was doing the same. Funny how we don't have anyone going after them. Another fyi: members of Congress do that email thing still even now

10

u/JessieColt 3d ago

Republican Colin Powell, the Sec of State for Republican Bush Jr., told her that he used private emails to communicate with others while he was Sec of State.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hillary-clinton-colin-powell-advice-for-private-email-server/

But you certainly didn't hear any R's demanding the government find those communications from Powell so that they could be audited/reviewed.

5

u/CheryllLucy 3d ago

are you talking about the email server that trumps people set up the exact same way when he got into office?

4

u/OrganicDoom2225 3d ago

Musk couldn't program you better.

187

u/Legitimate_Young978 3d ago

also accepted: "That's right, dummy. You wouldn't."

26

u/ichabod01 3d ago

And couldn’t

They shouldn't!

2

u/zyzzogeton 2d ago

Ok Dennis Duffy.

74

u/New-Monk4216 3d ago

Secret Elon Musk account found?

29

u/ealysillyforestthing 3d ago

When that Russian bot farm got hit a huge amount of Twitter accounts suddenly got quiet

13

u/Stormtomcat 3d ago

Did it really? I've seen many anecdotes, and one screenshot of a graph, but no real source.

I hope it's true, and it can be a start of ending the trolling and scamming and propaganda

6

u/ness_monster 3d ago

I have been skeptical as well. Lots of stories, little data to back it up.

7

u/ElysiumSocialMember 3d ago

Lots of stories, little data to back it up.

this sentence pretty much sums up all american social and political hysteria of the last 10 years on both sides. always headlines that dont represent the articles or articles that dont have a real source

1

u/ealysillyforestthing 2d ago

I've seen mods post visitor counts before and after. It was a sharp drop off

1

u/ness_monster 2d ago

This is exactly the point i am making. You told a story and then provided zero evidence to support it.

I hope Russian bots got hit, but again not much proof of it actually happening?

3

u/HunterSThompson64 2d ago

According to this BBC article which questioned a investigative firm that tracks Russian state backed actors accounts, there was no noticeable change.

Researchers from dTeam, a US-based group that tracks Moscow-linked influence operations, told BBC Verify there has not been "any traffic change from known Russian accounts and bot clusters on any platform".

A lot of people are pointing towards Cloudflare's graph showing Yandex-related bots declining sharply, but Cloudflare notes it was related to all Yandex traffic, meaning their web crawler bots, the same as Google's.

2

u/Stormtomcat 2d ago

Thank you for the source.

I guess it's positive that the destruction isn't tied to propaganda. Let's not incentivize the idea that you can silence your opponent by blowing up infrastructure.

2

u/Good-Cake-446 3d ago

Yup, i dont know why bots would need a datacenter, there are many videos online of people just using hundreds of old phones to do their botting.

52

u/ZsaZsaChaos 3d ago

Isnt he the one who went to a trump rally and went down the line of trump supporters and called them all pedophile supporters?

22

u/schroedizzle 2d ago

I believe he also got thrown out of a De Santis speech for yelling at him that he was a pedophile protector.

30

u/Maelefique 3d ago

Also, if you're the last person on Earth, but you still feel the need to compete in an election to make sure you're the best choice... just how bored are you??! 😅

13

u/SuperFLEB 3d ago

As we zoom out on a man in the throes of madness, shouting at no one, shouting at himself, stumbling up the street clutching a box of blue hair dye, broken in two by the realization that there aren't any Libs left to own any more, that if he's going to own the Libs, he'll have to become one.

3

u/TheProcrastafarian 3d ago

Pure poetry.

8

u/Low-Possibility-7060 3d ago

Depends on how long you have been alone. Maybe there will be a volleyball going against you in the election.

2

u/bisectional 3d ago

Oh man, i got voted out by a 100% landslide of one?

Answer: super bored

1

u/Driftedryan 2d ago

Elon would

1

u/Djschinie_Beule5-O 2d ago

Odds never have been better to get president 😅🤷‍♂️😏

37

u/lackadaisical_timmy 3d ago

To be fair, they said they wouldn't

2

u/BobJoeBlo 3d ago

Correct. But then again, maybe the voting process would be set up so that people in a space station could vote electronically for elections held on Earth's surface...

13

u/IfIWasCoolEnough 3d ago

There are lots of already dead Republican voters. Joke's on you, Mark!

12

u/PluginAlong 3d ago

At least it'd be an easy "race" to win and you'd have 100% vote count accuracy.

11

u/rhino910 3d ago

Vote every Republican out of office so that Congress can reign in the out-of-control trillionaire who is helping war criminal Putin kill innocent people

10

u/queuedUp 3d ago

Even if it was just the 2 of them, what strange time to have an election

16

u/Lt_Cochese 3d ago

There's a right wing boot locker journalist where I live named Mark Davis. Every time I see something from this Mark Davis, I get confused for a split second.

7

u/Extreme-Slice-1010 3d ago

How can you tell if a person has low IQ??

They defend billionaires

-2

u/sevenaya 3d ago

So Luigi must be a genius by that argument

11

u/webbslinger_0 3d ago

I have no idea of his platform or ideas but here’s my vote Mark Davis

-1

u/FlashOfTheBlade77 3d ago

The fact that you see this as a good thing is just sad. Voting blind for people because of their words as opposed to actions is what got us to where we are today.

5

u/WhatTheFlipFlopFuck 3d ago

I'll vote for anyone that holds pedophiles accountable vs those that won't.

5

u/webbslinger_0 2d ago

It’s a joke. Congrats on your first day on Reddit

-1

u/FlashOfTheBlade77 2d ago

Jokes should be funny

1

u/webbslinger_0 2d ago

Take the L and carry on with your life, it’s really not that deep

9

u/EuenovAyabayya 3d ago

I don't believe anyone running for Congress will be in a position to jail Elmo. That darn separation of powers thing, ya know.

9

u/nikstick22 3d ago

Once the republican swamp is drained, they could come after him for his campaign contributions, I bet. A lot of stuff that happened in the 2024 election was suspect.

3

u/Yeseylon 2d ago

Swamp's never getting drained at this point. Whole party needs to collapse and a new party needs to rise up.

2

u/EuenovAyabayya 3d ago

It'll be Meuller, uh Smith, us special prosecutor time.

5

u/kryonik 3d ago

They can begin investigations into illegal activities, afaik.

2

u/EuenovAyabayya 3d ago

They can, and while legislative investigations can be useful at casting light into dark places, they also have potential to forestall proper prosecutions by "tainting public perception." If you really want people locked up, the next administration will have to lead the charge.

5

u/ThothAmon71 3d ago

There's always the Trading with the Enemy Act.

5

u/EuenovAyabayya 3d ago

I think there are probably several ways to jail him, but another branch will have to do it. Two, really, unless the current admin goes even further down the rabbit hole, which seems entirely plausible.

2

u/Patanned 3d ago

not only plausible, it's the natc's (my preferred name for christian nationalists like russell vought and his like-minded ilk) go-to action plan - which they've made no secret of.

1

u/EuenovAyabayya 3d ago

"Christian Dominionism" will be a fun buzzword. /s

4

u/General_Honesty 2d ago

That kind of talk is defeatist. At least have hope. Elmo is a malignant influence on America and needs to be held accountable.

1

u/EuenovAyabayya 1d ago

Yes, but legislators don't do enforcement is the point, and they shouldn't pretend they do.

2

u/SuperFLEB 3d ago

Not directly, but theoretically they could start chucking out executives with impeachments until someone on that side did.

And somewhere between "practically" and "theoretically", there are methods of pressure.

2

u/EuenovAyabayya 3d ago

Fact remains that he made the statement knowing he couldn't really be held accountable for it.

3

u/suprahelix 3d ago

The tweet was worded specifically to be vague. He could certainly do everything in his power to see that Musk was prosecuted. Namely launching investigations and using congressional authority to obtain information that could be passed to US Attorneys. Or by passing laws that Musk could run afoul of.

2

u/dmoney83 2d ago

Well if they can go after a US citizen like Rep Ilhan Omar from when she was a child and before a citizen... Then surely they can go after Elmo.

2

u/jtan212 2d ago

Can start investigating Elmo’s corruption

1

u/EuenovAyabayya 1d ago

One thing they could do is pass laws making it easier to denaturalize him. That is double-edged, though.

4

u/Jeremiad-Kain 3d ago

Mark Davis is such a generic name it's hard to even narrow down which one he is. The Florida one? I dunno, but I like the energy he's bringing to the table. I'd vote for him if I could.

6

u/borisdidnothingwrong 3d ago

I wouldn't sleep with you if you were the last man on Earth!

Lady, if I were the last man man on Earth, you wouldn't even have a chance!

3

u/Broke2Gnomeless 3d ago
  • the best kind of murder

3

u/Huge_Strain_8714 3d ago

Fvcking gold, more moron MAGA memes

3

u/GonzoVeritas 2d ago

I can absolutely see the wimp crying that he was threatened by leftist violence by 'you wouldn't be around'.

4

u/platomaker 3d ago

Is mark davis good?

2

u/artichokebuzz 3d ago

To be fair, saying he wouldnt vote for him if he were the last person on earth is technically correct.

2

u/sec713 3d ago

Funny how the "Law and Order" crowd doesn't really care about the law or maintaining order.

2

u/Arqideus 2d ago

We have separation of church and state, why not separation of rich and state?

2

u/Mm2k 1d ago

Check and mate.

2

u/theclapp 3d ago

And also, if he were the last person on Earth, his promise about Elon would be moot.

1

u/AgainstSpace 2d ago

He'd still win by default.

1

u/TheBrianJ 3d ago

I'd vote for Mark Davis in a second, because he'd piledrive me otherwise.

1

u/2nd_Inf_Sgt 3d ago

maga brains have been deep fried by so much bullshit that comes out of their leader’s mouthanus.

1

u/mc_mcfadden 3d ago

His instagram is crazy

1

u/OddComrade449 2d ago

Pure demagoguery.

1

u/Madhatter25224 2d ago

Lol get shit on scowan65

1

u/Kira-Of-Terraria 2d ago

Prison is too good for him.

1

u/GoliathBoneSnake 2d ago

I've never heard of Mark Davis but I want to vote for him.

1

u/whatdafaq 2d ago

But it would be true that scowan65 wouldn't vote for Davis since he would not be alive.

1

u/BoboFiendish 2d ago

Tell me more about having colleges hire conservative professors...

2

u/Aetheldrake 8h ago

Sounds like a fake promise.

Just like most politicians. Saying whatever drama they can to get in power then never following up

1

u/ExtremlyFastLinoone 3d ago

Finally, a good murder on this sub
