I cased with peat, verm, hydrated lime, and gypsum 2 days ago. Mycelium is starting to poke through. Am I looking alright?

fruited twice in the bin, about 4-5 times in the tent before dots of mold started to speckle the block...

do you think such a dense set is a sign that it's thriving well, or a last ditch effort to escape the contam before being spent?

it never made so many pins at once while it was in the tent...

Kind of worried about the overgrowth that's going on in here? They seem to be breaking through it though.

I've been worried about FAE because I'm growing mine in a grown tent but still in a dub tub. Currently I have the fan set to 1.5 minutes every 10 minutes. Negative pressure ventaltion.

I have some golden teachers that I put into fruiting like a week ago and I haven't seen any difference unlike when I added the enigma to the tent.

So does the inline fan sound like enough if I'm using dub tubs with filters on the holes?

This bag has been doing great but after the break and shake, it’s been getting yellow. Hoping it’s just mycelium waste 😬 Thoughts and opinions? I don’t smell anything from the air exchange filter whatever it’s called.

First flush I got a lot even though they mostly came from the sides. Now it looks darker.

Tried previously with a LC of Emerald Gates, trying brown rice because it's common here in my country, and failed.

I did a bad job at sterilization (did it with a normal pot, wasn't event a pressuper cooker, I know).

Now I got a a cheap PC, got a still airbox and also made modified jar lids with micropore tape and silicone for injection port. Also got a heater for the jars to have them at 25°C.

I am trying again with brown rice and Toque mushroom LC

I watched videos saying that micropore tape works, and that it's recomended (I know there are better options).

Also doing honeytek for some LC and hope to get some micellium going for the future. There are clumps in the honey but I read that it's sugar and it's no problem.

When doing the break and shake, the grain will touch the micropore at some point, does that risk contamination??

Also I shook it after PC cooled of and took the jars off, to unglue the rice, as instructed. but at that point the micropore should be sterilized

hey, I finally put money into a flow hood after many years and I'm a little bit surprised at the turbulence of the incense trail as well as the flame of my lighter. The seller said it's a fan filter unit when got back to him, but sold it as a laminar flow hood. I'm lost, and really hope haven't invested in a useless toy.

Should I return it, is that standard? can anyone enlighten me about it please?

I had some Ochra LC I made that had been in fridge for around 18 months. I let it come to room temp for 2 or 3 days and mixed it up. Prepared this drippy corn (first time) usually do brown rice. Followed Philly Golden Teacher for drippy corn. Does it look right?

I innoculated with the LC, its been about 9 days and no growth at all so far. Could the mycelium just not be strong enough after being in fridge for 18 months?

I still have some spores around 2 years old in fridge. May try to see if they will go on Agar and make a new LC from there. Open to suggestions!

726g wet bag run

So I’ve grown Lions Mane & Blue Oysters. Didn’t have the best luck with the oysters but I think that’s cause I wasn’t as clean as I should have been while setting up my station. Lions Mane turned out perfect. So I completely cleaned everything and redid it now. I have 3 AIO bags and just put my live culture into the grain part of my bag. Once colonized I want to move them into monotubs. What my question is is do you get better results with the BoomrBin monotub, or a BoomrBin automated tub? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!🙏

I'm starting my grow, but I have very limited access to some of the things I need, like coco coir. I cant find a cheap and convenient place to buy it, and so I've considered using palm peat. Will this be the same?

these are on second flush. does anybody know if this is an indicator to something i need to change in the grow room?

first flush was a bit of a mess as i didnt consider surface level evaporation. added a circulation fan and everything has been great on its second flush. somewhat better than the first actually.

Tried to clone an enigma mutation that came up in a later flush on a previous grow. No mutation but a really solid grow. Easily becoming one of my favorites

What do I do about this situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
