The audio fidelity was night and day. Actually made me mad I've been listening to dogshit Spotify streams on sennheisers

Should've set the quality higher then. Spotify running ICE ads is a valid criticism and reason to boycott, but being mad you left the quality at low bitrate seems out of place

I'm not sure what any of this has to do with what I said. OP implied the streaming quality was bad on that platform. I alluded to Spotify having the capability to stream lossless audio. It reads like you are debating a different meaning of quality than what I meant in audio quality. As I said, though, boycott Spotify for its ICE ads or whatever else, but [audio] quality isn't a valid reason

Weird revisionist history you got there. There has been many public outrages and calls to boycott Spotify for multitude of reasons and none of them were about sound quality.

Unless you are using "sound quality" as some sort of metaphor

People who care more about music care about the sound quality

This just isn’t necessarily true. Like, not at all.

I think you live in audiophile bubble cause most passionate music fans (the ones who deeply connect to their favourite artists music or tattoo their lyrics or cry at their live shows or make fan art) won’t be able to tell you difference between AAC and MP3 or what 320kbps or FLAC or frequency graph is and does. Nor do most of them own AMPs and DACs and fancy audiophile headphones or speakers lol.

Using expensive headphones and being clueless about audio compression?

This is objectively true. Why is this guy being downvoted?

We hate Spotify now, get on the bandwagon.

But. It now has lossless. The guy was just literally stating it does and got downvoted. Also to the guy way up there who was saying Spotify streaming is shit, is simply not true anymore. So idk where you’re confused.
