Thanks - I enjoyed hearing him talk about it! Always seemed like a nice guy.

I saw him DJ many times, mostly in the 2000s, and even though he would play quite differently each time, he would always play this record somewhere in the middle of his set. He knows how much people want to hear it. But instead of letting it get boring, he'd always really fool around with it using a little sampler box, and would always mix a different track into the middle of it before then bringing Higher State back over the top. Even if you'd seen him loads of times, it was a highlight to hear what he'd do and what he'd mix in with it. Two tunes I still remember him doing it with are Daft Punk - Alive and PMT - Gyromancer. It was always awesome and I assume still is.
