This big Bronski Beat hit featured Jimmy Somerville plus Soft Cell’s Marc Almond, who turn Donna Summer’s disco classic I Feel Love into a gay anthem. It landed in the middle of the homophobic 80s, but Bronski Beat were fearless.
Here’s everything I found out about this remarkable moment in 80s pop: https://hitsinglescom.wpcomstaging.com/2026/10/17/i-feel-tainted-love-why-did-marc-almond-join-bronski-beat/
