Slavery is acceptable? Is there slavery going on in first-world countries? Did I miss something in the news or are you referring to 100 yrs ago?

It’s ok to have different opinions. It’s ok to associate with people who have differing opinions and views. We’ve done it for centuries.

They both came out of Detroit area at around the same time. They crossed paths and probably did become very close friends.

You know the one thing they probably don’t talk about with each other?

uh

so first of all, what do you consider for-profit prisons? does it have to be called slavery for you to acknowledge it as slavery?

second, "first-world country" is a Cold War terminology used to disassociate America and its allies from "the Other". there's no such thing as a "first world country". if you mean "in developed nations", America, Russia, and China all have things like forced labor, debt bondage, human trafficking, and severe labor exploitation. Britain had 23,000 cases of slavery in 2025.

do you think these are okay? if so, Kid Rock would be a great friend for you. If not, you probably would exclude Kid Rock from your friend group.

I hate kid rock but saying he supports slavery is just insane. Dude is an idiot but going “something bad is happening worldwide=kid rock supports it” is silly

I literally quoted the point I was responding to, the first comment that mentions slavery isn't saying kid rock supports it, it's using "believes in slavery" as something you'd exclude a friend for

Other guy replied saying "lmao slavery isn't real and hasnt been 4ever xD", I replied to that

I would exclude Kid Rock because he's openly anti-trans, sucked Turning Point's dick, preached anti-masking and anti-vaccination to a very financially downtrodden demographic, is a trumptard to the degree that he sells merchandise for the guy, etc.

I have no idea if he backs slavery, I do know that slavery is real and happens in the modern day though.

Slavery is still legal in the United States. 13th Amendment text:

"Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."
