it's a remix, sure. but she didn't release the un-remixed version of expectations as a single. that's what I am saying. it's on the album, but was never a single.

Again with yalls logic suddenly releasing a remix that she could have released a different day from Tate, instead of letting Tate have her moment is wrong, telling fans to boost her on the charts when there's other people even new artists who could have that spot instead is wrong. But truthfully it isn't wrong for her or any other artist to want to chart high, or want to break or have records and awards in their chosen field. To reach a high level of success you have to in some way out compete multiple other people. You guys are so ashamed for some reason for people wanting and chasing things. Olivia's done nothing wrong and neither did any other artist. Yall can stop the fake outrage now, I barely listen to any of these singers but the narratives surrounding them is so strange and imbalanced.

things get released on the same day. more than 365 singles in a particular genre are produced in a year, industry norms are to release on Fridays should there only be 52 pop singles in a year? releasing a song on the same day is not the problem. the problem is the pattern of behavior over time. she does this repeatedly. like every time. it's a meme at this point. she should be uplifting new pop girls at her grown age, not doing all this bizzaro chart manipulation stuff.

So now the real issue is revealed, it's not being competitive or wanting success(clearly since you make every excuse for Olivia's chart chasing) but chasing those things aggressively as a woman over 30, especially after spending decades building her huge fanbase. Its insane to think this woman is obligated to mother younger pop stars and step back because she's managed to sustain high success past the age of 30. Olivia and others are ADULTS, and successful adults at that, they can keep up and are doing fine without Taylor cutting back.

I really do feel as a BILLIONAIRE and arguably one of the most famous people on the planet she could be doing a bit more with her platform. But you're right, shes not technically obligated to help any of us, or anyone but herself.

Lol my neighbors have a band playing rn and theyre doing a T.Swift cover. It rules.

I don't hate the woman or some of her music!! Shes trying to figure out how the metrics work in the streaming era, its new territory for all of us. I just don't love the tactics shes using.

Shes a billionare from a large and successful catalog of music from 2 decades consistently releasing music. What else should she be doing doing? Should she be donating over 100 million dollars, including 26 million dollars just some months back? Should she be giving her working class tour crew over 197 million dollar bonus total from working one tour? Should she speak out against Trump to the point that this man still had beef with her?

Oh, wait she's done that!

And mind you it was donations from her own pockets, not raised from others with less money than her. Based on donations alone and out of pocket spending she is the most charitable modern popstar not just by sheer amount but by percentage. She has given away a larger percentage of her net worth than any other modern popstar. Yall got a weird vendetta against this woman because it's easy to feel good about yourselves creating false narratives about her. Its okay to just not like her(i personally find her personality very grating) don't have to pretend like there are moral reasons.

You would think all the other popstars were financially struggling the way you guys talk, they all have more money than any of us can ever dream of or even need, yall are just picking and choosing based on who you decided to like or dislike.
