I made my first album in here

[u/Argonautixxx]

This is my home studio in south Philly.

The album is called Ellipses and I released it a week ago. I'd describe it as ambient/experimental electronic. It took me about 5 years to finish.

If you're interested in hearing it, check out my bandcamp: https://ratangajunction.bandcamp.com/album/ellipses-2

There are some cassette tapes available for purchase there, and it's also streaming everywhere else

Can you speak a little to the process of making this record? Is it thru composed music? Did you cut up various improvised sections? Loop based arranging? or something completely different?

I prefer not to say much about that. but it's all of the above

[u/MeSlaw3]

Why did you choose cassettes?

[u/Argonautixxx → u/MeSlaw3]

I wanted something physical and vinyl is too expensive. I wanted to make cds too but ran out of time

Awesome space! Am from Philly, maybe we could collab one day! Will definitely grab a cassette as soon as I can this week.
