What to improve on my song?

Hello, I took the feedback from my last post and tried implement that, the song is now different so I would like to get some new feedback.

I think the build up and the drop is lacking energy especially the transition between them two. Would be happy to hear how this could be improved.

Im kind of happy with the intro part though

First off, I didn't hear the original, but this sounds good! I can see in a sense what you mean about the transition but it's really not bad at all! Have you thought about a rolling kick or snare or something on a dB automation to the buildup? that would add a lot of extra energy starting it quieter and slowly building up to the drop. Maybe a cut off with a delay on the kick or whatever you chose to let it slightly ring through as an echo once it drops. idk Just an idea!!

or even vocals on a micro sampler would make it easy to add vocals at different lengths at different pitches with no automation

maybe try testing out different risers. add some female vocals in parts. Use silence as a tool. I don't make this type of music so i am no really sure what to improve on. Try to listen to more songs in this style and see what they do.

this sounds great. i like the automation and cut off use that adds tension and kind of like a build up. i imagine being at a festival at summer time and partying. maybe make the part where the piano comes in and is pounding the piano louder and add a little reverb maybe 30%mix 70%room otherwise the whole thing sounds really nice and polished

My only thing is that if you're going to do a long buildup, add something to it, could be other synths, kicks, snares or even vocals could work.

Only do that for the long buildup, shorter ones are fine on their own.

I’m very new to music, what DAW is this?
I only use GarageBand for now, I want to explore more DAWs in the future.

I love it! I make music in this kind of style so this is my vibe and I really like it. The energy is there but i think it needs a bit of automation to make it move better.

What you could do is add some sort of buildup drums in the build up. Its fine if you dont, but at least make a volume automation right before the drop (lower the volume so the drop hits harder instead of going full energy into full energy without a small break) along with a drum fill.

I wish I could help you out more but im also kind of new ish to producing and mixing. Keep going you're doing great!

Never thought about lowering volume right before the drop, it makes sense but never thought of it thank you

its pretty good but i think way too many things sound tinny. as in the chords AND the drums. tinny drums are kinda this style so thats okay actually and it makes for a cool effect, but work on making the chords sound distinct and full cause right now its not working together with the drums imo

Hey, I like this! I think one thing worth experimenting with is creating more contrast between the buildup and the drop rather than necessarily adding more sounds. Maybe try removing almost everything for half a bar right before the drop, leaving just a little reverb tail or a reversed sound leading into it. Sometimes that brief moment of emptiness makes the next section feel much bigger or important or something. You could also experiment with gradually opening up a filter during the buildup to create more tension. I wouldn’t overcomplicate it though, especially since you’re already happy with the intro. Keep experimenting!
