Rec.Me: alt/indie/obscure Indie running songs for a new playlist?
Hey everyone! Looking for some great recommendations for indie songs to add to a running playlist. NOT interested in well-known bands or acts -- really want some "off the beaten path" (pun intended?) tracks that I can sort of claim for myself haha. Love anthemic tracks, synthpop and alt-pop to the front of the line. Thanks for your help!

I mean, is there a specific kind of music do you like for running?
I run a lot, and just listen to my normal indie rock stuff. Fast, slow, doesn’t matter to me and my cadence doesn’t really change. If you give us some examples of what you like, it might be easier to make suggestions.

I like sort of mid-tempo to uptempo -- maybe anywhere from like 110 to 130 bpm? Love synthpop/retro vibes (Pet Shop Boys, CHVRCHES), more standard indie rock fare (Los Campesinos!, Killers), classic punk/post punk (Gang of Four, Talking Heads), and more alternative modern pop (Olivia Rodrigo). Could even do sort of heavier electroclash type vibes.
