Will Leonard Miller finally find his way into real NBA rotation after his promising preseason?

Post image

I wasn't a big fan of him during the draft process but I was shocked when he fell to the second round

Don't know, its pre season. He will get bench time based off what he showed last year.

He will have a place in that rotation
Proved to have some value last year and it has carried forward IMHO

He already began to last season.

After being traded to Chicago, Miller averaged 11.7/5.8/1.3 in 23.1mpg with .640 TS%, including 12 starts (in which he averaged 14.2/7.9/1.6 in 30.8 mpg with .627 TS%).

Should be a 15-18mpg guy as the Bulls' off the bench this season, depending on the health and play of others. Doesn't turn 23 until November, so is essentially the same age as a guy coming in off their Senior college year.

He’s in the rotation for sure, but definitely a backup

For sure. He'll be in the Bulls rotation. He was probably going to get minutes even before his preseason play just based on the 2nd half of last season. He's on the rise.

Josh Giddey / Tre Jones / Dailyn Swain

Norman Powell / Buddy Hield / Jordan Hawkins / Jaylin Sellers

Matas Buzelis / Isaac Okoro / Leonard Miller

Caleb Wilson / Jalen Smith / Noa Essengue / Patrick Williams

Nic Claxton / Zach Collins / Tobe Awaka

I think right now he's the 10th or 11th guy (along with Buddy Hield). He'll probably get even more PT if Claxton and/or Collins still aren't ready to go when the regular season starts.

Why do the Bulls have so many forwards!?

He’s a consistent member in our rotation already playing 20+ MPG in the 20 games he played for us. Starter? No, not with Wilson and Buzi starting, but he has been a fan favorite in Chicago.

Wasn't that after the Bulls gave up on the season tho?

Don’t get what you’re trying to say. He was still playing for his contract on a team option and trying out for Pat’d minutes as a rotational wing. Bulls gave up way before the trade deadline.

No I meant the bulls gave him the minutes because they didn't care about the rest of the season at this point. My question is well they give him real minutes now in a fresh season? I am rooting for the lad not saying he is had or anything

We gave him minutes because Essengue went down for the season, Collins barely played, and our only competent wings were Okoro. Tear rown or not, he was going to play with Pat getting reduced minutes.

He was playing better than most of the players last season. He deserved his minutes. But of course the stat is inflated. Because nobody cared about those games last season.

If you played good in the minutes that was giving to you no matter how it happens or when most teams will use you more going forward or use that stock to trade you. It’s not rocket science.

he’s a good 6’10 wing, nice intangibles, and knows where to be within the offense. I think Miller will be the first off the bench whenever it comes to Matas or Caleb rotating.

I’m just happy Canada has a playable PF now 😩

I think he’ll play. They have a deep team but I think their rotation will allow for many players to play.

This is what he does vs lesser competition lol. Just has never been able to scale it up vs actual nba players consistently. Rooting for him though hes a fun player.

Post-deadline competition, particularly last year, isn't exactly "scaled up", per se.

lol you can say that about almost any guy on a tanking team. Is Jahmai Mayshack a rotation guy too?

Probably still not regular minutes but he should get spot minutes occasionally as an athletic switchable defender, rebounder, and shooter and could eventually surpass Patrick Williams if he continues to shoot well and Williams continues to struggle.

Hope people keep sleeping so it's easier for us to resign lol

It's either him or Essengue.

He was a promising prospect coming into the league he fell into the same issue other league ignite players delt with, but he can find his footing

I mean went to game at the end of last season against the rockets and he played solid. I think he will be a player.

I like leonard miller in 2k. Hell for a while I thought he was a player in the 90s before i realized he was still in the league. I have only seen him play a couple of times but he has looked good.

Was unreasonably high on him pre-draft. Hope he breaks out

It’s less the points he is putting more that he competes, puts himself in the right spots and executes well with team oriented ball. That’s what will see Miller make the rotation and get plenty of time on the floor

I doubt it. I just don’t see it with him tbh
