Fishing Penny's bend
Just went fishing at Penny's bend with a small group and caught almost nothing. We fished at the bridge where the parking lot is and I only caught tiny sunfish on fly. We then walked down to the tip of Penny's bend and caught nothing using worms and swimbaits. I heard it is a good spot to fish so were we just fishing the wrong places on penny's bend. Are there better places to fish at this time of year on the Eno?
Thank you

It is known for the white bass run in the spring. That said, it is way way overhyped; the fishing has gotten significantly slower/worse there in the past ten years, and it is extremely overcrowded during that time of year. Fishing, all across the state, is really tough lately (though improving) due to the extreme heat this summer putting serious strain on the fish.
