Housing Receiving a package but address can’t be verified

soooo I’m trying to buy something online for delivery, but it says the address for the service desk as well as residence hall can’t be verified. I tested out the locations for other service desks and halls, and there are some that work. Would it still find its way to me if I put in the address of another service desk (that doesn’t service my hall) but I still have my hall listed on address line 2? ie: living in Lee hall but sending it to the avent ferry or wolf ridge service desk?

As someone who faced this issue a few times(usually from eBay), as far as I know you can bypass the warning and have the website use the address as listed. It’s not a great idea to send it to another service desk, because they might return the package to sender or it may take a while for it to make it to the correct desk.

Sephora unfortunately doesn’t let me skip it. taking a while to get to the correct desk is ok, I just want it to get there. they don’t use FedEx either so I can’t send it to the location on hillsborough street

I ran into this mailing a package to Sullivan Hall. A call to Housing confirmed the zip code on the website is incorrect. I was told to use 27695. USPS verified it and it worked.

oh yeah that’s the university specific zip code. I’ll try it, thank you

update: it doesn’t work for the service desk address but it works for the residence hall itself. is that chill?

No, i used to work for housing and you may get in trouble or they may just leave it outside with the possibility of someone stealing it if you mail it to the residence hall.
