Discussion Has there ever been a highly drafted receiver that washed out in the NFL because he couldn't learn how to get both feet in bounds?
As is required in the NFL but not in college? Or do scouts make sure they can do it before the draft?

No, but Darvin "Lefty" Higgins was chosen by the Birmingham Vulcans in the 17th round of the inaugural WFL draft in 1975, out of Shippensburg State. He was born with two left feet, and always veered to the left when he ran. Hell of an open field runner, but he just couldn't go straight. He ended up colliding with the guy who held the down marker, and injured him pretty badly. Birmingham waived him after the resulting uproar.

No. While being able to keep two feet in bounds is a highly sought after skill, it doesn't come up enough to be the main reason washed out
