Class Question Covid-19 vaccine for Nursing School
Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone in the nursing program got through clinicals or is going through clinicals without having the Covid-19 vaccine. I know they said it’s not required but recommended, but they say some clinical sites require it so I’m not sure how it can’t be required for the program if some of the sites require it.

I don’t think any of my clinical sites have required it, and I’ve been at different sites for all of my clinicals. There’s no longer a space to upload the COVID vaccine on Castlebranch (the place where you upload clinical requirements). I do get the vaccine yearly so idk if it’s in anything I’ve overlooked. I do recommend getting it though because if one person in the cohort gets sick, at least half of the cohort will get sick too. Being sick sucks but being in nursing school while sick is horrible.

I think most of the clinical sites no longer require it. I’m so happy they removed this as a requirement. I always feel like crap for 48 hours after the booster. I never want to get it again. I had Covid 4x and I swear my experiences with Covid are that it is more mild than the feeling I have after the booster!

You would just not go to those sites I assume. But, I would get it even if it’s not “required.” A friend of mine (schoolteacher) caught it 4x in 2 years from the germy kids and now she’s pretty fucked up
