Discussion Minato is overrated.

Got neg diffed by base 10 tails Madara who didn't even acknowledge him(but did acknowledge Gaara, Kakashi, Tobirama,Sasuke, etc)keep in mind this was Amped Sage Mode Minato. Self admittedly went high diff against 14 years old Obito. Got injured by wooden shrapnel then killed by a nine tail fingernail. Was being read and countered by teen Killer B(tentacle deflection and sword placement when Minato teleported behind him).

Some Naruto fans and Powerscalers: yeah he could totally beat prime Hashirama/Hiruzen/Madara.

Discussion Apathy _ The real Curse

I have changed my issues with Naruto a ton over the years, and come to realize that while he has the product of his own struggles often... The biggest issue he and most others in his world face is apathy. People didn't see the problem with raising child soldiers, destroying entire clans, creating Jinchuuriki only to abuse them, what happened to Rain...

The world of Naruto is not this overly hateful place, nor is it overly loving. Curse of hate and Will of fire are myths, propaganda to justify abuses and fate and hate toward your enemies. These create a deep seated apathy where no one really questions everything....people are too comfortable in the world with suffering.

This is actually a real issue in basically all series with a young protagonist if we are being honest...

The whole point of shippuden was about the darkness of the ninja world and the cycle of hate. Once that was conquered, there was nowhere else to go with ninja. It cant be about ninja anymore if the goal that ninjas were meant to carry out has already been completed

Question Why didn't Itachi ever sealed one of the tail beasts?

Post image

He was a double agent afterall and he clearly knew the akatsuki were going to be gathering them all for some "evil" purpose. Why not hunt one of them down and sealed them and thus ruining/delaying the akatsuki's plans?

Movie Naruto inderect references on Zach Cregger's "Weapons"

Although Zach himself denied that he took inspiration on Naruto, I still find it really uncanny especially the kid with his parents scene. Not to mention both of his and Sasori's parents were literally and similarly turned into puppets and used as weapons. The Naruto run similarity is just funny

Question Why isn't naruto more tactical?

So after shippuden ends & boruto starts, there's like what 16 years?

In them why doesn't naruto learn the 8 gates techniques & FTG atleast?

I was wondering yhat naruto has no teleportation skill tho he should've seen against kaguya how important those are to get from 1 place to another

& wouldn't naruto having 8 gates be cool as hell?

Heck after kurama's gone in boruto, he could've tried to pull an 8 gates sage mode or something

Sure no need to give the 8th gate, but the 6th or the 7th gate with sage mode calm control would've turned him into some monstrous freak you know

Anyway let me know what you think

Is there a character where you felt it didn't fit that they became Hokage? Or where you felt it was pointless or thought the chosen character didn't have the skill/mindset to be one?

What do you think?

Question Why didn’t Orochimaru destroy Konoha during the war, when he went to the village with Sasuke and his team, Taka?

As the title suggests, at that time there were no great ninjas—only children, or perhaps adolescents, protecting the village during the last war. Sasuke asked about this, but the response he received was just a smile. What does it mean when someone gives such a response—or perhaps a hint?

Discussion What do you guys think the fighting styles of some characters were BEFORE they got their trademark Abilities

Kishimoto kind of just gives most characters a set moveset and rarely deviates outside of that for the most part. But that often leaves me questioning the fighting style of characters before they develop their trademark moves

The most obvious example for me is Minato. His fighting style consists of Flying Rajin, Rasengans, Uzumaki clan sealing techniques and toad summons.

The thing is, he learns his sealing techniques from Kushina, develops the Rasengan after he's already an established Shinobi, most likely only learns Toad summonings + senjutsu after a certain point of training with Jiraya. And i doubt he comes out of the Academy knowing the Flying Raijin.

Yet he's also considered the most talented young Shinobi in leaf history from as early as the academy. He must have something notable about him no?

Other shinobi we can infer learn basic versions of their clan's techniques. But Minato comes from no notable clan

So what did child Minato use as his main combat style as a Genin?

Same can apply to Orochimaru and Jiraya before their summoning contracts, Tsunade before learning medical ninjuts techniques etc etc

(Obviously with some characters we know because they either come from a clan who have well established beginner movesets or we saw a flashback of the character as kids, but not everyone)

Discussion Why do you think the concept of Aliens in the verse was bad given everything that already existed?

So I KEEP seeing people say, “It was a bad Idea to introduce Aliens into the Story”, in one way shape or form. Whether or not you like the Otsutsuki of the way they were implemented, we’re just discussing the concept of Aliens in Naruto.

Aliens were introduced in the series within the last year of its publication when Kaguya was introduced by Madara’s story to Hashirama, but from the beginning of the series and throughout, we’ve been introduced to:

1.) Superhuman’s (Ninja)

2.) Other Species of Human (Kisame)

3.) Supernatural Abilities (Ninjutsu)

4.) Kaiju (Animal Summons & Biju)

5.) Hulk-Like Transformations (Curse Mark)

6.) Zombies (Edo Tensei / Pain Bodies)

7.) Chakra Mechs/Avatars (Susanoo/Kurama Avatar)

So I have to ask… What isn it about the concept of “Aliens” that takes you out of the series? Or is it not actually the concept of Aliens existing, just implementation of them.

Question If Naruto focused on the Akatsuki, what should he have learnt to combat them in those 3 years?

Post image
10 Upvotes

Assuming accessing the Nine Tails power or bringing back Sasuke weren’t top priorities, what should Jiraiya have taught Naruto to combat the Akatsuki?

I’m having a hard time thinking of a way since all the Akatsuki members are insanely strong in their own unique way.

Maybe developing a strong defence and some long-range moves since a lot of Akatsuki members are long-range fighters? Idk.

Some examples:
• Emphasise his prankster personality & creative BIQ.
• Learn Exploding Clones and Army Command Tactics. This would go so well with his large amount of Shadow Clones.
• Wind and Water Release. Defensive, Mid and Long range attacks.
• Better usage of Toad Summoning.
• Throw in some Fuinjutsu into his skillset.

What do you think?

Analysis Shout out to Sakura's parents for not filling their daughter's head with hate for Naruto when team 7 was formed

Post image
345 Upvotes

Most of the other konoha 11 parents are elite jonin who either knew of Naruto's parentage or could piece it on their own. They would also know understand that a jinchuriki is not the tailed beast inside them. (plus emotional maturity i guess)

Sakura's parents are either chunins or less likely civilians. both categories were not the greatest Naruto fans (except the Goat "ramen guy of the six paths")

Maybe they should have also taught her about healthy crushes and relationships.

Discussion Was Obito Uchiha truly a "broken hero," or do fans romanticize his actions too much? Let's settle this.

Post image

Every time Obito Uchiha comes up in a discussion, the Naruto fandom seems completely divided into two extremes. Some view him as the ultimate tragic, broken hero, while others write him off as an irredeemable villain (or worse, "just a simp").

Question I'm confused, why do y'all think Tobirama invented the seals to undo Edo Tensei?

This came out of a discussion in another thread, coming from discussing why Madara knows the seals. Reading that when it came out, it was always self-explanatory, based on the nature of the jutsu, why Madara likely knows, but it certainly made complete sense why Tobirama created a backdoor to the jutsu.

But maybe I'm wrong, so I wanted to ask y'all: what reasons do you think Tobirama had to bake that into the jutsu, and why do y'all think Madara knows?

To me, it's obvious, due to the nature of the jutsu

'This foul jutsu that enslaves the dead"

He created an out for himself, and likely all his loved ones who were around / EG - Hashirama, to not be abused in the future by the very jutsu he created.

Now, why do y'all think Madara knows it? To me it always made sense he did. Given what we see he thinks about the technique, on it being foul, and his tensions with Tobirama. He demanded to know it through Hashirama, because Toirama would 100% revive him or other Uchiha in the future. It completely tracks in his character.

Discussion Would Hiruzen have been more or less hated by fans if Danzo hadn't existed?

Post image
15 Upvotes

I’ve heard many people say that Danzo was created solely to exonerate Hiruzen (which, ironically, ended up making the Third Hokage even more reviled for his weak-willed decision-making and for granting Danzo so much power).

Hiruzen would likely still be hated even if Danzo had never existed, but I wonder: would the Third Hokage be less disliked if he himself had embodied both sides, the "light" side, projecting the image of a wise, friendly, and trustworthy elder to everyone in the village, and a "dark" side, where he orchestrated highly questionable and sinister acts, such as the massacre of an entire clan, for the sake of a "greater good"—namely, the survival of Konoha?
