Painting C+C First One

First 40k ever, I need help on what citadel colors to high light the brass with. Just dont want to screw up and make the paint so thick it turns into an ebay model haha. Thanks and I'll happily take any advice!

I personally give the bayonet the glow aswell, since it looks like the skorpekh destroyers' axe.

Would you mind sharing a pic? Could use a reference. I feel the unconnected or broken hoses should go dark green

Looks great for your first model! Very clean and distinct areas when it comes to different materials. I would say maybe darken the brass a little with a wash and then highlight with the original color. Or just experiment on this one and try a different approach on the next.
