Is anyone else just tired of small talk

I feel like every new interaction just stops at the surface level. People ask about work or the weather and that's it. I miss having deep conversations about anything and everything. It's like no one wants to go past the polite pleasantries anymore.

I feel this! 😩 I miss having conversations that make you think, question things, and look at life from a completely different perspective. I want to talk about the universe, human nature, history, spirituality, and all the random things that cross our minds at 2 AM. 😂 Like, let’s get past the small talk and actually get to know how each other’s minds work. Those kinds of connections feel rare nowadays.

People can not keep up or even think deep enough to have those conversations. Especially when things can get personal in ways or even religious or political. But sometimes the small talk is how some keep it going for abit.

Yea I get to the point where I wonder if the juice is even worth the squeeze in socialising anymore. Nothing substantive gets said, and any attempt at taking conversations to a deeper place seems to get you branded as a weirdo.
