This community was created with one clear purpose: to give every artist, no matter how big or small, a fair chance to be heard.
We know how hard it is to break through when you’re just starting out – algorithms, labels, and big promotion budgets often push independent musicians aside. That’s why r/NewMusicSpot exists. Here, everyone has the same opportunity to share their music, get feedback, and connect with listeners.
🎵 What you can do here:
Share your own tracks, albums, or projects.
Give honest and constructive feedback to others.
Discover hidden gems and help talented artists grow.
This is meant to be a fair and equal channel – where every voice matters, and the focus is on the music itself, not on money or marketing.
So if you’re an artist looking for a platform, or a listener who loves finding new sounds before they blow up, you’re in the right place. 🚀
👉 Post your music, leave your thoughts, and let’s build a supportive music space together!

Hey guys you definitely don’t know me but I’m trying to be more open and social to get my name out there in the world. I’m an independent R&B artist attending this contest for the Next Big Star. I came to ask for just one free vote to get my name out there. This opportunity means a lot to me as an underground artist with a big dream. All I ask for is one vote, if you’d like to help me on my journey here’s the link of not thanks for listening and may God bless.

Listen, I have no illusions regarding my potential for victory; but I would love to make it further than a version of me that didn’t care.
Vote me, SHOWC4S3, using this link. It won’t cost anything but a couple of seconds. If you have a song to stream I will stream (for the, “what do I get?” people).
Edit: It’s free. Just scroll down after tapping vote

I'm very proud to say that we're gearing up for the release of my band, schiele frisbee's second full-length album! It's got a mix of alternative/indie and jazz elements and influences like Radiohead, Pixies, Wolf Alice, and others like that. We're in the process of releasing the singles for LP2, and I would love some feedback on them to help us tailor the sound and improve anything we can. I've included the above song, "Mirror" linked on Spotify and YouTube as it's one of my favs. The music and lyrics for this one are meant to reflect dreamlike self reflection between anxiety and acceptance - looking at two sides of yourself through the filter of the stage where you're between wakefulness and sleep where it's difficult to tell if you're dreaming or experiencing reality using dream imagery and logic. The artwork is meant to reflect that as well. Hoping you like it and looking forward to hearing back from some great musicians!
