ANSWERED I hear stories about Reddit being so strict, what advice would you give a newbie so that I don't end up losing my account?

If you are experiencing removals, this is most likely because your account is new and you have no karma, and therefore you are running into community restrictions.
- What community restrictions are & why they exist
- How to tell what community restrictions are / if a community has them
- Karma; what it is, how to get it, how long it takes to get, and what does not affect your karma count
- How to get started earning karma

Bear in mind that users who manage to get banned are often very vocal about it (and often not especially vocal on what happened to get them banned). The story "my reddit account is working fine" isn't worth telling.
First up - know the rules See here on how to find Subreddit Rules, see here for Reddit's Rules
Most of the sitewide rules are super easy to avoid breaking. Don't make threats of violence, don't be hateful, don't harass people. Pretty easy stuff.
What can be an issue is running into the spam filters and the way reddit enforces those- shadowbans. I'll put some info below
Avoiding a Shadowban. There is also a bunch of information that various users have observed which can result in a shadowban:
- It seems that new accounts are under stricter scrutiny than established accounts with a history of interactions
- Making a lot of identical posts or comments, especially when those are off topic
- Adding a lot of links to sites outside Reddit. Especially if it's the same link to a business or other endeavor (even if it's not a site or service you profit from, like a fundraiser). To promote your business check out Reddit for Business
- Initiating a lot of chats or direct messages to users, especially if a lot are being refused or blocked
- Creating multiple accounts to engage in vote manipulation or ban evasion
- Engage in nuisance reporting (reports that are easily seen as invalid)
- Receiving a lot of Removals
I often recommend to new users;
- Take your time to read other users' posts and comments, before making your own comments and posts. Basically, don't rush to make your own comments and make sure you aren't misreading and going off topic.
- Be sparing using off site links as a new user
- Be aware of where your posts and/or comments are being removed and don't keep making posts and/or comments that are being removed (learn from post/comment removals)
- Be sure you read and follow community rules

you made one post and got 6 comments in less than an hour. Which is solid.
This is also the first post that you've commented under that isn't you own. You may want to focus on that a bit more (like you could go back to the same subreddit you posted in and comment on a few posts there)
Edit: wait i missed your comment of "hi everyone" under a different post - that's not going to really get people talking to you. The post was "Napoleon said, 'Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.' What’s a perfect real-life example of this?" so you weren't really responding to the post or giving anyone anything to work with

There are a lot of good subreddits out there to start in. Check out our list of New User Friendly Subreddits. In particular I recommend commenting on new posts in subreddits like r/askreddit as a good starting space.
