After the ebay z9 I purchase had issues - I was too worried to buy another used so I rolled up to B&H, got their payboo card to save the tax and burnt some plastic.
I can tell you right now - the old one was dropped. The memory card door on this opens with a simple thumb swipe and the old camera it was a two hand operation and was very hard to open.
I also thought the power on switch was very difficult to operate, but chalked it up to flash ship bodies often having a harder power on button, going back to the film days. No I was just an idiot and ignoring something that was clearly wrong.
Here's to having fun with this guy this weekend and seeing what it can do.
And maybe don't buy current flagship bodies off ebay like the nincompoop I am.
Side note - holy shit the 24-70 II is light. Feels like nothing.
buying off ebay is fine if you read everything that the seller says and deal with reputable sellers. I have bought s lot of things from Roberts Camera/ Used photo pro

It's a dumb name but it's their store branded card. You can either get a 0% apr payment plan or do what I did and get the sales tax removed. Saved me $800.
Bought many good things, but there's also been sellers selling air and trying to pass broken stuff as "like new".
Just have to make sure you have realistic chance of getting money back. Ebay is safer though than many other platforms - like on catawiki inspection time from pickup is like 24h
