Advice Does therapy help?
I'm in a really dark place. It's the only thing I haven't tried yet

I’ve found that techniques that work for other addictions work for this one. I wrote this: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoFap/s/4MOhYzTo6G it is based off of the HALT warning for addicts and relapse with a nofap specific twist.

The fact that therapy isn't even a guaranteed fix really stops me from going. I don't have any other options left either

It's worth to try but you need to be aware that therapy will be just that - help.
It doesn't mean that it by itself will solve the problem, but good therapist will guide you towards solution and out of the cycle. You still need to do most of the work there as many people, who decide to go to therapy don't understand what's the goal of therapy.

You can try CSAT or SAA for porn addiction. There are anonymous support groups. And have a accountability partner for relapses. PA usually is far deeper than just the inability to stop the habit of masturbation to porn, it's an unhealthy coping mechanism. So you have to kind of replace it with a better coping habit, white knuckling makes it worse, reaching out for help is the better option imo. You might have to change therapists to match your preferences. Good luck!

If you have the money, sure try it. I'll never get therapy though.
