Soundtrack

Is it just me or does this show have a weirdly barren soundtrack? I'm watching it on a site of questionable legality and so many scenes feel really empty and silent, did anyone else notice this or is this just a bad copy of it? I found a few clips on youtube with that same quiet feeling so I can't really tell

I had noticed a lack of environmental sound, as well as some (obvious to me, but still well done) ADR. Perhaps it was a budgetary thing, or maybe it's in the directorial vision or the writing for the show to feel more surreal, comedic, or theatrical.

Ultimately most of the scenes are very talky and often in interior spaces with not a lot of visual cues for what background sounds would be there, and the performers don't tend to interact with their environment very much other than handheld props. I don't recall hearing Ulysses' inhaling and exhaling or his vape pen very prominently either for that matter.

Perhaps Gregg is way more into the script and the music.
