I’ve been debating whether or not I should get one for a while and Im taking this as my sign! It’s also my birthday tomorrow so now it’s justifiable…

It's a wonderful ocarina! The ergonomics suffer slightly because of the design (every OoT replica does), but sound is so wonderful! It's also super pretty!

This is amazing!!

Ive been trying to learn the Ocarina for the first time and I don't understand how to make it sound like this. The best I can think of is enunciating every note with "tu" or just blowing into the Ocarina without anything else; but both sound off. If anyone could help with this that would be great!!

Remember that the ocarina is an instrument on equal terms as others! It is never expected that someone learning saxophone for the first time will produce a perfect clear sound :)

It takes time to develop a nice sound, and it's a combination of breathcontrol and longtime familiarity with the instrument that's the key here :) Don't think too much about it right NOW, and rather spend time just getting familiar with it! The tone will come eventually :)

Also, ocarinas will sound more textured/airy to you than it will sound to others. The way I recorded this did tons for the pure sound, and on the mobile recording it sounds much more textured :) It will always be skewed to the player!

TLDR; Take your time, good tone doesn't come overnight :) Just keep practising, and breathcontrol is key! Congrats on picking this wonderful instrument :)

Yeah, I love the sound on this one! At its pricepoint of $150, we're in the professional territory (for ocarinas), and "despite the design", it was worth every dollar!
