What the heck is going on out there

Sounded like fireworks but not done right or something.

I know el Camino has homecoming football game tonight. Maybe Oceanside too. They usually do fireworks

Surprised they allowed them to do it considering the Santa Anas are so bad right now. Plus the red flag warnings and active fires on Pendleton and in OC.

It looked like it was close to Oceanside high school and there is a football game going on but I’d be surprised if it was them

Homecoming game. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a professional football game with such a display. My poor dog is hiding in the closet

Omg I came on here to post about this. Wtf. Like 5 min of fireworks and Pendleton is on fire, Santa Anas are blowing… asshole move.

Was definitely fireworks, could barely see it from my house. No idea what it was for though. They looked like decent size fireworks too

I’m near the high school in downtown Oceanside. It looks like it was a fireworks show right above the football field. I walked out on my porch to watch some of it.

When it first started though I thought, this is it. The Russians are bombing us. It’s all over with.

It was so loud it sounded like it was in my backyard and my house was about ready to explode.

I wonder if the high school is going to do this every Friday? Or was this because it’s the season opening game? Or is it going to be only on weeks when they play home games? It would be nice to know when to expect it.

It took me quite awhile afterwards to figure out where my two cats ran off to hide.
