Hiring Q (Fed) Transfer BOP

Accepted a transfer this past summer and had to decline for family reasons but now I’m able to finally head to his location. Would they accept me if I put back in or have an issue accepting again?

If there is an opening, apply. See if you get accepted.

I see we don’t have anymore internal postings for bop officers only open to the public so I did that one.

If you want to go to a facility under staffed, talk to the warden. Sometimes, they can do a transfer between wardens. If you are at a facility that is under staffed, you might be stuck.

They don’t have TDY?

Before anything, reach out to HR and ask if your hireable.

Just apply to whatever the position is, you answer specific questions on the app and submit your sf50. That’s it and you have begun your transfer. You do not need approval to apply to any other location. You need approval to actually leave and get hired which is not your job to worry about.
