I've always just called the front ones their hands. They grab things with them and have tiny claw-thumbs.
But I also like hand legs as well!

We joke all the time about how he wishes for nothing more in this world than thumbs. He is always touching or grabbing or trying to hold something. You can just tell that he's trying to hold things in the way that one would with thumbs.

His usage of people things is far superior to ours. Oftentimes he takes ownership of my laptop if I am using it wrong. I make the mistake of using my hands and eyes, so he reminds me the proper usage, which is of course laying one's entire body on it.

Mine also loves to stretch out a leg to gently place a hand on something I'm using

Mine does this and gently places her paws in my grandma’s sewing machine. I swear she’s trying to imitate my grandma feeding the fabric through the machine. She requires regular reminders that she doesn’t need her feet to be sewn onto the quilt, no matter how much she likes touching the quilts.

My brain immediately finished the famous lyrics: And that's just what they'll do, One of these days these hand legs gonna walk all over you.

It's seems you're working too hard and not hard enough on giving attention to the void.

I thought I was the only one that called them hand legs.
I am not alone!
THERE ARE OTHERS!

Your cat is helping you pass school. OP has the best tutor ever.

I am not the student in the house, but I will say, the void is a better tutor to said student than I.

For me it's Toucha or NO Toucha.
Them hand extensions are muffin or biscuit makers idling.
And then, there is the "NO TOUCHA".
