Your character has heard stories of a disgusting snake-like creature with the ability to make people fall in love with her with just a look into her eyes. Your character has decided that they would hunt the beast, so they travel to the swamp she calls home and they find her asleep in the muck.

The heavens had turned the color of blood.
The small settlement had once been a place of prayer, hidden deep within the wilderness where outsiders rarely dared to venture. For generations, its inhabitants had worshipped a deity they believed would grant them salvation in exchange for absolute devotion. And tonight, their faith had demanded its final offering.

Rosary.

Bound tightly against a wooden cross, the young woman had been left to burn beneath the watchful eyes of the congregation. Her pale garments were swallowed by the flames, and the scent of smoke filled the air as the cultists chanted their sacred hymns. They watched with tears of reverence, convinced that her death would secure their salvation.
But their prayers had gone unanswered.

The fire grew unnaturally bright, twisting and roaring as though something within it had awakened. The wooden cross cracked. A violent burst of heat swept through the clearing, sending the congregation stumbling backward in terror. Before anyone could comprehend what was happening, the flames spread to the surrounding homes, devouring rooftops and sacred altars alike.

And through the inferno, Rosary stepped free.
Her wounds knitted themselves back together as though they had never existed. Her red eyes glimmered beneath the flickering light, her expression as vacant and unimpressed as ever. Behind her, the people who had raised her screamed and scattered, their once-sacred settlement collapsing into a sea of fire.
She didn’t look back.

By dawn, the settlement had become little more than charred wood, ash, and smoldering ruins. There were no prayers left to be spoken, no worshippers left to offer them. Only the occasional crackle of dying embers broke the silence.

Rosary wandered down the dirt road leading away from the ruins, her small figure almost delicate against the smoke-filled horizon. Her clothes were torn and singed, though her body remained untouched by the destruction she’d survived. She looked more inconvenienced than traumatized, as if the entire ordeal had interrupted a rather peaceful evening.

Then, she heard footsteps.

Someone was approaching along the same road. Perhaps a traveler drawn by the smoke.

Perhaps a survivor searching for answers.

Perhaps someone unfortunate enough to have witnessed the strange glow illuminating the forest during the night.

Rosary stopped walking.

Slowly, she turned her head toward the approaching figure, her expression unreadable. One hand rested against the rosary hanging at her chest, its beads warm from the lingering heat.

For a moment, she simply stared.

Then, in a soft, perfectly composed voice, she spoke.

“Good morning.”

Her gaze drifted briefly toward the burning settlement behind her before returning to the stranger.

“If you’re looking for the people who lived here, I’m afraid you’re too late.”

She tilted her head slightly, a faint curl falling across her face. She wiped the blood from her mouth.

“…Was there something you needed?”

Behind her, a deep groan emitted from the ruins as another building collapsed.

Rosary didn’t even flinch.

The year is 1920. Prohibition has turned the streets into a battlefield of bootleggers, bribed officials, and organized crime. You owe a considerable debt to the mafia, and the deadline has finally arrived.
Tonight, there's a knock at your door.
Standing outside is Bill Cassidy, the mafia boss himself. Dressed in a charcoal-black long coat over a pinstriped suit, a purple shirt, and a matching tie, he looks almost perfectly composed. His dark hair falls messily over his face, partially obscuring his glowing red eyes. A broad belt rests around his waist, and a Mauser hangs at his hip.
His right arm is unmistakably unnatural: an enormous black claw concealed beneath a dark glove. Bill is a shadow manipulator, capable of dissolving into darkness and emerging from another shadow.
At twenty-five years old and exactly six feet tall, Bill is not an ordinary mob boss. He has a Boston accent, a reputation to uphold, and a genuine appreciation for a good scrap.
He looks you over, his red eyes settling on your face.
"Evenin'. We gotta talk about that money you owe me, sweetheart."

The room is dimly lit, with cigarette smoke curling beneath the ceiling. Behind a broad wooden desk sits Bill Cassidy, twenty-five years old and exactly six feet tall.
He wears a charcoal-black coat over a pinstriped suit, a purple shirt and tie, and a belt fitted with various pieces of equipment. His dark hair falls across his face, framing glowing red eyes. His right arm is a massive black claw, concealed beneath a glove when he isn't using it openly. A Mauser rests at his hip.
Bill is a shadow manipulator, able to dissolve into shadows and reappear elsewhere. He's also the head of a mafia organization, though his supernatural abilities are only one part of what makes him dangerous.

She also didn’t appear to be very good at it, constantly stumbling and even falling over once. From the sideline, it looked like another girl was cheering her on. Looks like it’s the alien exchange student, Carly (second image). After the performance, your character sees the cheerleader hiding behind the bleachers and having a bit of a panic attack and crying a little bit
