Discussion Best place to find Magic tickets?
I’m new to the area and trying to catch a Magic game. I’ve looked at the official site and the usual third-party sellers, but man, tickets are expensive.
I’d love to sit in the lower bowl without dropping $200 a ticket.
For those of you who go regularly, where do you usually get your tickets? Is it better to wait until closer to game day, or are there other places I should be looking?
Just trying to catch a game and cheer on my new hometown team without spending a fortune or being at the top of the arena.m.

If you want a good "lower bowl" experience and good value, Look for tickets in the 109A/110A/111A area, especially if you can get the front/2nd row. Feels like lower bowl at a better price. And like the other poster said, looking for "lesser" opponents will get you cheaper prices. I'm a season ticket holder, so I see those fluctuations when I go sell my tickets. PHI/LAL/NYK are insane, but Clippers are dirt cheap.

I splurged for fourth row tickets to a game against the Clippers back in 2021, was the only team I could afford to sit that close to. When I showed up at the KIA Center they said they removed my seats because of COVID social distancing rules :/ people were sitting in that row (including in my seats) during the game anyways, pissed me off. Figured they must have found somebody more rich and important they wanted sitting that close
They gave me a full refund but it sucked because that full refund was nowhere near enough to buy 4th row tickets for any other game so I basically just got screwed out of the experience

Thanks for advice. Any good perks with full season tickets?

The main perk is guaranteed playoff tickets, all the way to the Finals. So mainly heartbreak and disappointment historically, but maybe this is the year!

No good perks. My daddy had them from 1989-2020 and there was never a single good perk lol. No discounts, no specials, nothing.

You can find a good balance but usually it’s a pick two of good opponent, good night, or good location. Bad opponent on a Tuesday night? You can probably get a good lower bowl seat at a good price. Warriors/Lakers/Knicks? You’re paying a premium for nosebleeds…
Not sure if it’s just the group rate flyers and suites that show it, but there are four tiers of game night that drive the box office price; start by looking there?
Also check your Costco/Sam’s/BJ’s of choice during the year, they’ve historically sold packs of two tickets for maybe $70-100 (but that also depends on how the team is doing, too)
Lastly, give the front rows of the lower bowl a shot. Can be a good view at a good price!
Enjoy! Go Magic

Thanks a lot for the thoughtful response. I'll get some research in - Ticketmaster as is may not be the immediate best choice.

Gametime and SeatGeek are great. I usually purchase a day before or hours before the game. It all depends on who the opponent is with dynamic pricing. NYK, LAL, SAS will be expensive, but lesser teams could be dirt cheap.

That makes sense. I'm all for bad teams just to get some games in.

Last year I remember seeing tickets on Gametime against the Utah Jazz that were courtside and only $500/each a few hours before the game.
Obviously that’s super expensive and against a tanking team but in comparison to the typical price it’s an insane deal. I wanted to pull the trigger on it but couldn’t justify the money at the time

Im a big cheap frugal man child i go to lots of games
The keys:
- Go to shitty teams. I don’t ever miss the wizards games.
- Get tickets last minute. Like 30 min before game or at least same day. They drop. They get hungry.
- I like gametime.co, and no I’m no spokesman or fake commenter. I routinely find them cheapest there
- The OG way is still the best:
walk up to stadium.
- wait until game is starting or just about to start, scalp a ticket. Accept a price and then realize you “only have” less than that. So like I’ll accept two tickets for 50$ and then “only have” two 20s and no i don’t have a card on me. It always works lol.

if you don't mind standing, grab a cheap ticket and stand at the baseline bar behind the basket. But getting a decent spot will there will of course vary based on other factors like opponent & day.

Thanks that's a great offer, but a bit out of my range. The food is a good offset for sure.

A little above your stated price range, but I have great seats (Row 4 behind the Magic bench, Sec. 107) and you can have my tix to Friday’s heat game at face value ($240 each) if you’d like. They come with free food, beer and wine to help offset some of the cost.

That does look like a good price. I'll probably skip the final preseason but definitely feel free to hit me up when you get some regular season posted
