Keep telling myself it's only pre-season. The team looked crisp though. And it wasn't like the starters didn't play the first 3 quarters, so it was good to see them bounce back from Sunday. Definitely looking forward to the season though.

The one play that sticks out for me was the pick and roll with Suggs and Paolo that resulted in a Paolo dunk. What made it stick was it was against Mobley, and Paolo just bodied him with one bump and rose up for the jam. It looked so easy and natural. I can’t think of many dudes that could brush off Paolo like that. It’s so damn simple, but I hope they run that play more and more.

this is the new coach hope test - something works, let's try that again (especially with Paolo - let's try some new things)

It's funny how some people only show up to hate on Paolo when he has bad games but avoid the game thread when he looks good.
Y'all know who you are.....

The "when he is bad" and "when he is good" thing is the exact issue. We need consistency this season. We need P5 and Franz to shoot 35%+ from three this year or we aren't going anywhere.

There's a difference between criticism and praying for his down. Folks were crying the first two games of preseason under a new coach and offense.

Little late but overall everything looked to run cleaner offensively and even defensively. Also can't wait to see how AB looks in this offense. Hopefully they can be this focused consistently. Always awesome to see a Franz and Paolo combo game we don't get them both going off at the same time often.

Wow now that got me excited for the season! Great game and effort! Cant wait for next week.

Dang. Not a single person who was complaining after Sunday is in this thread. I came here to see people cry about preseason and how awful all of our FO’s decisions are.

I like TDS being a shooter. I like Paolo’s athleticism. I like what Penda can do. I also like how we are getting the ball to Bitadze. I also liked Castleton. He has potential to help this team, I think.

Suggs played and it looks like we still got Point Franz. It looks like that is sticking, which makes the beginning of the season so interesting.

Point Franz arguably better than Point Suggs - let Suggs shoot (good shots) and defend like an animal, that's all we want

Don't really think it's arguable. You had Point Franz for that 13-3 stretch a few years ago when Paolo was out and he averaged almost 30 with like 7 assists, 6 boards, 2 steals and only two turnovers. That should have been happening since then but, you know, Moseley wasn't a very good coach, it turns out.

It’s only preseason, but it’s nice to get just a small break from the doomers.

Loved the ball movement and how quickly we got up the court. Didn’t see all that iso garbage from last year. Hope we continue to play like this.

Seriously! You should have seen my face when I saw actual plays being ran on offense

Magic is making the nba finals yall! I don't want to sound overreacting that's why I didn't say we're gonna win the finals (but we will)

but everyone says we're a play-in team lol - we're easily top 4 in the East if we stay healthy (and, yes, i know that's a big IF)

I'll be happy getting out the first round, anything beyond that is gravy!

Really enjoying TDS new role as it looks they’re pushing him to be more aggressive and take his shots.

Looked much better than last game. I like what Jase was doing especially going against Mitchell and Harden, didn’t feel like he did bad defensively and was a factor offensively.

another case of Mosley fvcking things up - why he didn't get more burn last year we'll never know

I've liked his role as a PG, he is just letting the game come to him and not forcing anything.

Flow off the offense looked really good, the ball didn’t stick, guys were constantly making action happen

god if we get paolo and franz at like 80% of how good they were tonight EVERY night, we’re gonna cook

I don’t want to overreact but we’re never losing again

Wasn’t able to catch the game but how did Suggs look?

u/Muted_Lead_1105 3d ago
3-4 for from 3 in 12 minutes. Very aggressive on defense

u/KnightofAshley Franz Wagner 2d ago
It looks like this system is going to let guys like Suggs on defense really do well.

AB, Bane, and Suggs all said they'd dye their hair blonde if Penda scores 33.
We officially have our season goal. Not sure wtf Suggs is gonna dye

I just enjoyed the Cavs players acting shocked we out played them. Looking good for us, not for them.
