Hiking Teva Shoes in Melbourne

Hi all, long time fan of Teva sandles and also their shoes. Anyone know of any stockist in the Melbourne area who carry the shoes? I can of course order them online but keen to try them on first. A lot of the usual places carry the sandals of course, but the selection of shoes is slim if any at all.

I worked for Snowgum years ago and we were one of the only companies that stocked the shoes/boots AND sandles. Kathmandu and Paddy Pallin used to stock sandles and some lines of shoes and boots.

I can't imagine that any stores in Australia would stock Teva shoes or boots. They don't do anything better or different than brands like Merrell etc do as far as shoes go.

They were not easy to sell because many people look for GoreTex, and Teva use their own version, which works the same.

Australia is too small of market so even if you find something there will be limited sizes.

Yeah that makes sense. Thanks!.

I can see it now. The Teva website is probably shipping in from overseas.

Khatmandu has 1 model on close out only in size 13

Yeah 13s will be leftover old stock. The distributors in Australia were Deckers, who distributed UGG boots.

Biggest problem in Australian footwear is the RCG brands or whatever they are called now own Athletes Foot and Platypus and other stores and they distribute Merrell, Timberland, Doc Marten, HOKA, Skechers etc so and there are only 2-3 other distributors plus Nike and Adidas. They push out a lot of competition and dictate prices. It's why you are Merrell's here are often a series or two behind the US.

The closest thing to some of those Teva Riva could something like Scarpa but they aren't cheap

Been there done that, website shows six handles and zero shoes. I am looking for the shoes. Is the in-store experience likely to be different?

I got mine in Anaconda Canberra, maybe they don’t sell in Victoria?

I'm looking for the shoes only, I don't see any on their website. Of course! Lots of sandals but I already have a pair.

Putting the title of your post into a search engine will probably give you a few

To clarify my post, I'm only looking for the shoes, not sandals.

I've done several online searches already and not coming up with any good hits. A lot of misleading hits for the sandals and or the Teva online only store.

I've even looked at the Teva Australia website for local stockist but that's pointing me back to Anaconda and Kathmandu.

For sandals I've found lems to be similar but heaps better so maybe their shoes would be a good option for you? Bprimal in Northcote stock lems.
