Resources Supacore Compression Review

Full disclosure: I am not affiliated with Supacore, nor do I get any incentive for writing this. I’m just someone with POTS sharing a product that made a real difference for me!

The Products
I’ve been wearing these two products for about a month now:
Shorts: Patented Mary Women's CORETECH® Postpartum/POTS Recovery Shorts
Leggings: Patented POTS CORETECH® Black 7/8 Leggings with Pocket

Why I Love Them
Targeted Compression: They compress correctly for POTS management rather than just feeling like regular tight athletic wear.

Noticeable Symptom Relief: I've noticed a huge reduction in my pre-syncope symptoms in particular while wearing them.

100% Opaque: They aren't see-through at all and are meant to be worn on their own.

Versatile (Especially the Shorts!): I practically live in the bike shorts now that it is summer. I wear them on their own or layer them under dresses and jean shorts. I was pleasantly shocked by how effective they are even without full-length coverage.

No Compression Sock Fatigue: A great alternative if you hate wearing traditional compression stockings or socks. I actually think the compression is superior.

The Drawbacks

Price: They are definitely an investment/expensive (though worth it if it's within your budget).

Shipping Time: It took almost a full month for my order to arrive (I’m located in the US).

Final Thoughts
Finding gear that actually helps manage POTS symptoms is tough, so I wanted to pass this along. If they fit your budget, I highly recommend giving them a shot. I believe they have a solid return policy if they don't work out for you.

Hope this helps someone out there!

Thanks for this. I’ve been on the fence about them for a while because I’m not working so I don’t have a lot of money.

How do you find the waistband? I prefer my compression wear waistband to go all the way up under the bust (because I’d rather it cut into my ribs than sliced my stomach in half) but it doesn’t look like Supacore go up that high?

I have 2 pairs, I have the ones that go up to the chest basically (I think they’re called Meryl?), and then the regular “high waisted” ones. The ones that go up the highest are more comfortable, I can’t sit/bend over easily in the other “high waisted” ones because they compress on my stomach too much and make it upset, so I only wear those ones when I know I won’t be sitting long. The other downside is they’re thick so they’re quite warm as well. They do help my symptoms, though!

Thank you, that’s really helpful!

Bonus abdominal compression there.

The Meryl leggings go up to the ribs.

I really wish they had them as shorts!

The shorts go up very high and cover my abdomen

u/ST_Rowe Jul 30 '26

They do go up high! I think some maybe go up higher than others, but they definitely will not slice your stomach in half from my experience.

Thanks, that’s good to know!

There is a fair amount of medical research from Canada showing that compression shorts are nearly as effective as full-length tights at reducing Orthostatic tachycardia and severity of symptoms. Shorts are much easier to put-on and wear, especially in the heat.

I sound like a bit of a compression shorts bot at this point, but I’ve been wearing them every day for around 18 months and notice a positive difference. Not magic.

Totally agree with this. You make such a good point about the ease of getting the shorts on. A huge issue with compression in general is that it is so hard to get on, that you are worn out from that experience alone. These shorts make it a breeze.

Do you have any other compression POTS shorts you have found that you like?

u/Muddlesthrough Jul 30 '26

I have a pair of Coreshots brand X70s. Medical-grade compression.

2

u/stiina22 Jul 31 '26

Would you be able to measure the inseam length of those shorts? They don't have it showing anywhere on their website.

Do you find the compression is adequate on your lower abdomen and you don't need additional mid/upper abdomen compression?

3

u/Muddlesthrough Jul 31 '26

Ah, 10-11ish inches?

It’s high-waisted, but downs provide full abdominal compression. I’ve been thinking about some kind of abdominal binder as an add-on.

Thank you!

Just wondered as I’ve seen things that it can end up reducing the leg pooling as it gets trapped between leg and the compression? What’s been your experience?

u/stiina22 Jul 30 '26

I have the Meryl leggings (super high waistband) and I liked them at first, too. One annoying thing though, is that the abdominal compression is the lightest between the hips and belly button. Above the belly button, the waistband is doubled over and it's suuuuch good compression! I wish they had the doubled over section extending down to the hips because with only the single layer there, the double layer above kind of pushes my natural belly bulge lower and I feel like my blood pools there, which is the opposite of what it's supposed to do.

I'm continuing to wear them but I also got an elastic corset which I think will be better overall.

u/theFCCgavemeHPV Jul 30 '26

Eww, that’s an immediate pass for me. I have had compression/shapewear that’s like that and on me it just rides up and ends up offering zero compression. Like, I don’t care if my ass is a pancake, give me full old fashioned compression that is consistent from thigh to nipple or fuck all the way off.

3

u/stiina22 Jul 30 '26

It's definitely not consistent compression. There's extra compression knitted into the fabric on the calves and thighs and then the upper part of the waistband. The "targeted" compression wouldn't bother me, if the targets were in the right spot (lower abdomen)

8

u/theFCCgavemeHPV Jul 30 '26

So annoying. I miss the old days of shapewear just casing you up like a single sausage instead of turning you into a series of links 🙄

3

u/stiina22 Jul 30 '26

Haha yes, give me Single Sausage Squish!

4

u/ST_Rowe Jul 30 '26

You should give them your feedback! I feel like the products will only get better if the people who use them let them know what could be improved.

How are you liking the elastic corset?

5

u/stiina22 Jul 30 '26

Yes I did send them an email with a picture and explanation. They said they'd pass it on.

I like the corset a lot actually. It's only been 3 days so I can't say for sure. I was head over heels in love with the Meryl leggings for the first 3 days too so I'm giving myself time to get a real idea!

1

u/This-Helicopter2466 Jul 31 '26

Hi! Would you possible be able to share the link for the elastic corset? TIA :)

I love mine too! Comfy and cozy, I have both the full length leggings and the high waisted shorts that go to the bust. The shorts make a fairly significant difference in symptoms for me - dizziness reduction, cognitive improvements, and orthostatic tolerance. I also have ME/CFS and am able to run longer errands and be upright at least a couple more hours in a day than I can when not wearing them.

u/Evolutia44 Jul 30 '26

Thank you, this is helpful!

Ooh! I had placed an order a few days ago for my first pair and saw this - excited for my bank account to recover and to try them out. I’m glad you like them!

2

u/veganmua POTS Jul 30 '26

Unfortunately I really like the shorts. Hate the price, though, especially with international shipping.

3

u/ST_Rowe Jul 30 '26

Same! The price is steep. It’s prevented me from ordering another pair because I literally live in them at this point.

u/lass20987 Jul 30 '26

Pocket for insulin pump?

3

u/ST_Rowe Jul 30 '26

The leggings I got have a side pocket. Not exactly sure the size of an insulin pump, but it’s a decent size pocket. The shorts I got do not have pockets.

I have a pair of the shorts and you can very faintly make out the patterns on my underwear when I squat. I def dont wear them on their own out of the house 😅

1

u/ST_Rowe Jul 31 '26

Oh interesting, I don’t feel like you can see mine at all. I definitely wear them completely on their own out of the house. Unsure about the deep squat, but I’ll report back!

2

u/twocatsinatrenchcoat Jul 31 '26

Its only when I do a deep squat and you have to be staring directly at my butt, so its probably fine to wear out of the house? I dont often walk around squatting in public very often 😅

1

u/sammefer 25d ago

I have the leggings. I basically can't bend/lean over at all in public because they become pretty see through over my butt. I've been experimenting with boxer brief style underwear to wear under them because of this 😅

2

u/One_Day_At_A_Time97 Aug 01 '26

I've experienced the exact same thing with the exact same two items.
I don't wear them often, because majority of the time I'm just at home in my bed, but I've worn the 7/8 leggings for a couple of birthday parties, and the shorts under my work uniform a couple of times, and have noticed that I don't experience such high heart rate when wearing them. I do sometimes experience lightheaded feeling, but that also eased exponentially compared to without the compression.

I decided to purchase these two items, precicely due to the compression being specifically POTS targeted, and despite the expense I am glad I did.

On the other hand, this site also does have the potential for being partially covered by your health insurance, you do need to enquire this, but I think it requires a medical note from your GP in order to do so, if your health insurance does allow it.

do the shorts squeeze stomach? I'm intrigued by compression shorts cause I struggle to wear socks all the time, but I can't stand tight clothes on my stomach.

1

u/societiesoddball Aug 03 '26

Are they thick or hot? I got the jellie bend top and its so thick im not sure if i should get the shorts but if I can find a less thick alternative id prefer that

1

u/ST_Rowe Aug 03 '26

I mean I sweat way more thanks to my POTS, so everything skin tight is hot to me. But I will say that they aren’t crazy thick by any means, and I’m definitely able to tolerate wearing them for long stretches, like 8 hours, which is very rare for me. Usually I cannot tolerate skin tight things for longer than absolutely necessary. I don’t feel that way with the shorts in particular.

1

u/societiesoddball Aug 03 '26

Ill definitely be getting those then. Jelliebend is made of thick almost foamy feeling fabric which is comfortable but if your moving or its hot out im always tempted to take it off and deal with a bit of dizziness pain and fatigue

1

u/ST_Rowe Aug 03 '26

I think you’ll love these then. And they have a good return policy in case you don’t. Hope they help you!

u/Dontelmyalterimreal Aug 21 '26

How did you find the sizing? The chart is sort of weird in that it goes just by weight. Like according to the chart a person 6’3’ would wear the same size as a person 5’1” if they are the same weight which doesn’t make much sense as their measurements would be completely different, and if you’re tall and slim, you’re not even on the chart!

1

u/Proof-Cantaloupe-253 Sep 14 '26

I’m curious about this too and it’s actually i came to read this review. Its an odd sizing chart

1

u/Dontelmyalterimreal Sep 14 '26

I might try to email them to clarify. If I hear back I’ll follow up.
