2
u/BeverlyRhinestones Jul 17 '26
Hell ya!
Totally forgot I got one when I was younger to try and smoke with too, but just for joints at home. 😂
But the one I got was metal and too damn heavy.

u/king_of_hate2 Jul 16 '26
He obviously isn't smoking, he shouldn't be in the woods at night alone.
14
u/Stogie__Monster Jul 16 '26
It’s 8:30, summer, and that’s a mowed lawn. Let the kid be.

To me it looks like a man facing the opposite way. Looks like a hat, a beard/facial hair, and a longer & baggier shirt.

Night vision does strange things when something is moving that is the same color as the background.
What you see in the video is actually a shortcut the camera takes to save power and work faster. Instead of drawing a completely new picture every split second, the camera gets lazy. It mostly reuses the last picture it took and only redraws the tiny pixels that have changed color a lot. When something moves but the color change is only slight, like a person in dark clothing against a dark background, the camera doesn't think the change is "dramatic" enough to update properly. This causes it to skip some updates or only draw little bits of the new movement, which is what creates those weird, jumpy, or ghostly visual effects.
Basically, this person isn't transparent, the camera is just presenting them as if they were because whatever they are wearing is close in color to the background.
This is just a person walking by. Not a ghost.

For all the people saying it could be an actual person, I find that more terrifying than something paranormal. Just a random person walking on my property in a nightgown. Fuck that.

u/Vericon Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26
If it were like 2am I’d agree 100%. But 830 pm here makes for infinitely more “normal” possibilities. The nightgown part is still weird, but from this single image it could potentially be a completely normal outfit obscured by the lighting and that it’s a Black and white image

u/thecive Jul 16 '26
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to go out in my pjs walking around my neighbor’s property looking for my cat.
7
u/scarletmagnolia Jul 16 '26
Oh god. We’ve done that too. Me and my daughter in our pajamas, in the cold, walking around yelling for her cat, shaking treats, everything. I was leaning towards paranormal until you said that.
13
u/Creepy_Psychology100 Jul 16 '26
You would hear me screaming in terror in side my house. All while you are saying “hear whiskers”

u/White-Kite Jul 15 '26
Looks like a kid wearing a white shirt and white basketball shorts to me. He appears to be barefoot, idk

Looks like a child too...
Like... Noooooo fucking thank you, I'm locking the doors and sitting in the corner with a shotgun all night haha
2
u/CormacMccarthy91 Jul 16 '26
Pretty clearly the aunt...
0
u/Creepy_Psychology100 Jul 16 '26
Sorry… didn’t see her name tag
2
u/CormacMccarthy91 Jul 16 '26
You're arguing that cameras famous for inserting past records over new shots are displaying etherial beings for the first time ever recorded in history vs doing what they always do... Gotcha.
1
u/Creepy_Psychology100 Jul 17 '26
Hahaha I’m not claiming anything. I literally just posted a funny comment. Go look for an argument elsewhere you crazy little keyboard warrior you. 😘

u/Creepy_Psychology100 Jul 17 '26
Bro you are taking my comment too seriously. All I was commenting was that something would creepy.
0
u/PedlersUnlimited Jul 16 '26
It is creepy. Though it could be an elderly person with dementia
2
u/Creepy_Psychology100 Jul 16 '26
You say that like it wouldn’t be creepy. Late cigarette turns into Grandma running across the yard screaming “their after me”
18
u/Baconbear95 Jul 15 '26
To me it looks like someone wearing a nightgown or dress with a riding helmet on. Even if it’s not anything paranormal, it’s still weird to have some random person walking through your yard. Has there been any other activity or weird images like this since it was taken?
46
u/mystic_roots Jul 15 '26
If the time is correct at 8:30pm I’d wager it’s just an actual person rather than anything paranormal.
98
u/Notmyfirstrodeo21 Jul 15 '26
Are you talking about the person on the right? Any reason it couldn't just be an actual person?
32
0
u/Organic_Awareness685 Jul 16 '26
Right, it’s an actual person, who’s see-through, wearing a gown, barefoot and the middle of someone else’s yard at night.

It's unsettling because the boy is clearly casting a shadow, which tells us there is a source of light in front of him, even though it's the middle of the night. That detail alone raises more questions than it answers. As he walks toward the woods, there appears to be a dark patch or presence waiting at the entrance of the forest, omething that immediately draws the eye and stirs the imagination. Whether it's simply a trick of the lighting, the camera, or something our minds are trying to make sense of, the image carries an eerie weight. Sometimes it's not what we can prove that stays with us, but the feeling a moment leaves behind, the quiet uneasiness of watching someone step into the unknown, where darkness seems to have a presence of its own.

That's not a shadow or a road, that's where long, dry grass has been trampled down flat by deer and other animals (and probably people) going into and out of the woods.
There were a couple of spots like this on the property where I grew up. They're just deer trails.

It has a very defined shadow.. somebody was walking around looking for venison chops hahaha
1
u/DoctorGangreene Jul 19 '26
Not a ghost. That's a solid living person. With her hair in a bun. She looks "invisible" because the camera is very low resolution AND black & white, and the clothing ends up blending in with the background. Remember, this camera is meant to photograph wildlife in the daylight or dusk hours, it's not the best for taking night shots. And this being 8:30pm in September... the sun went down an hour before this picture was taken so it was already quite dark.

u/umlcat Jul 15 '26
Two figures.
The one that looks like a boy walking into the woods, the dark shadow in front of him / her that looks like a tunnel, near a tree or pole ...

-White shirt with Adidas-like shoulder stripes
-Light coloured or white basketball shorts visible difference from shirt by clear line
-Slides or low top sneakers worn sockless
-Solid shadow cast
-Headwear is either a helmet strapped under the chin or something indecipherable.
Even though the headpiece is odd I’m positively convinced it’s a person.

u/MOBSCorona Jul 18 '26
So everyone's talking about that random person in picture but not that black shadow by the pole? Like how come just that portion in the top middle of picture looks like that. That's a creepy black shadow drop thing.

u/BigProfessional5403 Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26
It looks more like a dude just walked across your lawn in the middle of the night. White guy, medium length hair, beard, in a white shirt (stripe across the shoulder) light colored shorts and crocs. You can tell its a t-shirt and shorts since the shirt is slightly lighter color than the shorts. Probably a white and beige color scheme
1
u/Momma_Furbutt Jul 16 '26
Nightshirt, helmet and heading towards the black mist around the tree. Inter dimensional being or an escaped dryad that thought the outfit was fashionable and therefore a great disguise.
1
u/luckyyloner Jul 16 '26
To me it looks like a man facing towards the woods, with a hat, and beard, and a longer/baggier t shirt with some basketball shorts possibly.
1
u/ColdboyCrypto Jul 17 '26
Wait. Are we talking about the person on the right or is there something else I'm supposed to be seeing? That's a male with possibly a beard.

u/HavocCass Jul 17 '26
Is your aunt near any old tribal land? That looks like a native americans kid. And it looks like he has something on his head.
1
u/PiscesWolf Jul 16 '26
I didn't see the human silhouette at first and I thought it was a Mike Wazowski with a tiny head and long legs lol
1
u/oculus_7370 Jul 16 '26
if its a ghost, it should be naked because clothes/linen have no spirits..jesus, have some common sense..
1
u/Irwinboi1981 Jul 17 '26
It isn’t paranormal at all… that would be shadow casting.. perhaps someone has a drug addiction?
1
u/AyeSwayy Jul 16 '26
i find it interesting how the “hairline” lines up almost perfectly with the background shadows.
1
u/malykarn Jul 16 '26
How old is your Aunt? Possibly sundowning if Alzheimer's or Dementia runs in the family...
2
1
u/meowtacoduck Jul 16 '26
She looks like she's wearing a knee length dress, a bicycle helmet and slip on mules
1
u/Spiritual-Set3699 Jul 16 '26
Where was this taken? Was it just this one frame that was captured, or is there more?
1
u/Own-Effective-7971 Jul 20 '26
Sorry, I noticed that child just now, congratulations on the brilliant picture.
1
u/BitterCategory7725 Jul 16 '26
Looks like a girl with hair up scratching . Probably meeting someone for fun

Barefoot lady in hospital gown. Is there a hospital or facility nearby…run away patient. Or ghost patient. A or B my guess.

a lot of people are saying nightgown but to me it looks like a dude in a bucket hat or ball cap, with an oversized white tshirt and addidas track suit pants (you can see the white lines in the black pants). might not be paranormal, and might be some random ass dude scouting the house to maybe steal unless you live in some sort of residential area and he is just on a night walk

Why is her deer cam set up on a parking lot?
1
u/Long_Discipline_1220 Jul 15 '26
Just curious where you see a parking lot?
1
u/rjbachli Jul 15 '26
Is that not a parking lot with a white curb? Or are my eyes getting old?

u/Long_Discipline_1220 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 16 '26
I thought that was a trail or road, who knows honestly.

In an effort to improve submission quality, we are now manually reviewing photos before they appear in the subreddit. If your submission does not have good reason to be considered potentially paranormal it may be removed with a reason provided. Please be patient, as the subreddit gets a lot of activity and it may take a little time to review your post. If we do remove your post, it’s because we believe it is likely to be judged harshly by the subreddit as opposed to a determination over what the true nature of your experience was.
