Troubleshooting Advice - Assembly RYZEN 7 9700x
I am changing out my AIO. I noticed a “Smol” drip page on one of the SMD’s. Am I toast, do I need to clean it, or can I leave it? The smudge on the top is clean now.

Curious, is 44c the lowest you can go while being idle with 9700x? I had 43 c before adding 2 more ram sticks. Has anyone gotten lower temp than 40c being idle with this cpu??

Yeah, 34°C package is the lowest I have seen on one of mine. 16°C Ambient using a Noctua 360 AIO and Arctic MX-7 and the other is using a Be Quiet Silent Loop 420 AIO with Arctic MX-7 and will also idle at mid to high 30°C.
Gaming at 4K they are both in the low 50°C areas.5

Ah damn explains everything. In my place any day is 35°C . So i guess i'll never reach below 40°C unless i move to somewhere colder. Thanks for the reply buddy.

It's all about the ambient so unless you are using a phase change compressor you're not going to achieve lower than ambient. You definitely have an impressive delta regardless.

almost no thermal paste is conductive, you're fine
just be mindful clearing up the thermal paste
