Purchasing Advice - PC Build / Parts Pc build help Spoiler
Hi guys, I don't ever go on Reddit, but a couple of weeks ago my partner broke his PC, and he has been so distraught. I want to try to get him a pc or at least give him the money to get one!
Im wondering what the best pc brand thingys are(im deeply sorry. I know absolutely nothing about pc's), what I should get him, etc.
He uses it mainly for gaming and making music for his band. He's expressed some issues with wifi, though I know he has an Ethernet cable
I also would like to know if I should get all the parts for him or if I should just give him the money to buy whatever he thinks is best, and how much I should give him. I do not really have a budget, as he truly is amazing, and just want to help him
Thank you for any help you could give!

personally? I would tell him that you'd pay for the parts but you both pick it all out together. You'll learn about that shit and it could be a good relationship thing.
HOWEVER, right now many of the pieces have exploded in price especially memory and video cards where you'd need to budget out $1000 on just those two things for a low-mid tier PC. It's really an awful time to be just starting out.. $1200-1400 would be more realistic for everything.
It's even a tough time with pre-built pc's :(
